The place is amazing if you are looking for a authentic gujarati food but with good quality and unique dining experience in ahmedabad. They served food very well and every dish had its own unique identity. Overall the experience was quite nice and they also take care of your entertainment by puppet show and horse show. Must visit with family
This place has turned up to my favourite place for Gujarati food in Ahmedabad. The mindset of having sweet Gujarati food is changed here. The original taste of each and every item is served. The food is best in taste and quality. I loved all the items served in unlimited dinner. Their menu is changed every 2-3 months so you can checkout their different varieties too. Their menu is crafted on cloth instead of paper. The place interior is very well built with wall cravings approximately 100years old. Their serving is also different. When you order unlimited dinner, the food is served in an amazing tiffin. Much visit place for all .

Brain child of celebrity chef Aanal Kotak, Akshada is a fine dine restaurant that specialises in serving authentic Gujarati cuisine in Ahmedabad.The ambience is designed to suit the traditional gujarati theme. All artifacts, wall paintings and lightings give you a feel of traditional Pol architecture. The soft gujarati music playing in background adds to the feel. The crockery too has been selected keeping in mind the same.Unlike traditional all you can eat gujarati thalis , Akshada serves Ala carte. They also have a concept of tiffin, where in you get a variety of set dishes.On the food front we tried :Keri Haldar – One of the household remedies during summer, this one was a Mocktail made from mango and turmeric. Unique yet tasty combination to be enjoyed. 4/5Lilva ni Kachori – Part of the winter delicacy, this one was really well cooked and tasty. 5/5Traditional Undhiyu – A winter specialtu this one was perfectly cooked with all veggies properly boiled not mamy places in ahmedabad serve such an authentic version of Undhiyu. 5/5Sev tamatar – Tangy and tasty tomato gravy well cooked. 4/5Kutchi samosa lasaniya bataka – A unique combination of samosa, Alu and garlic In a curry form. This one is a must try specially for the garlic lovers. 4/5Lila Chana nu shak – This one is a house hold curry, generally prepared during winters. Taste was really good and as you would expect. 4/5Gajar no Halwo – The name itself inclined us to try this one. 4/5Haldar no shiro – Unorthodox sweet, mainly prepared during winters. This one did not go to well on the taste front but surely something exceptional to try. 3/5The service and presentation of each dish was spot on. Overall this place surely turned out to be an hidden gem. Surely one of those places where one can have delicious gujarati food at peace
I’m a Gujarati and so I tend not to eat Gujarati food outside, cause I believe all of it is cooked at home.So I don’t spend money to eat it outside.But when I went to Akshada, I realized that Ghar jevu saras and shudhh khavanu baar male.I loved the khichdi, undhiyu and dhokla.The kala khatta palette cleanser and gajar no halvo was fantasticThepla and lili haldal nu halvo were slightly disappointing, more than that, just not according to my taste.Such great service and such homely food.I’ve never been happier to have #Gujju Food outside at a restaurant, as much as I’ve been hereIt’s a great place to get together for quality worthy Gujarati Food.
This is the perfect place to try authentic gujarati dishes. Very well prepared and serves very good portions of tasty dishes. Their special winter menu you definitely should try. Great ambiance and courteous staff this place truly have my heart.
Aanal Kotak carefully curated the place and the menu after a trip around whole Gujarat. From entrance with ‘katputli’ dance to music, from decor to custom made cutlery, everything gives out authentic vibes..Food is just brilliant! It’s difficult to select a favorite. I loved jalaram bapa na green khaman, Kutchi samosa lasaniya batata nu shak, KATHIYAWADI FOOD & desserts. I highly recommend this place. You can order fix thali which is served in a traditional tiffin box as well as ala carte. Definitely a 5/5 for me.
