ordered the meal in a bowl – broccoli, baby corn and water chestnuts in a black pepper sauce – the portions are excellent, the price reasonable and food is good – maybe not the best asian in Ahmedabad but among the better ones. Recommended
2nd order:Hats off to the management team for a swift, warm and courteous reply to my previous review regarding the wrongly packed khao suey. They surpassed my expectations and left no stone unturned to ensure this isn’t repeated. It is a tough task to switch from tightly packed plastic containers to thermocol/foil alternatives but a need of the hour considering the impact it makes on the environment.Using the right combination of environment friendly containers, my complimentary chicken khao arrived well protected and fully intact this time! And its worth all the hype, the flavours are spot on, the diced chicken soft and flavourful, and all ingredients fresh. These guys could give Burma Burma some stiff competition, and thats saying something! Also enjoyed the chicken club sandwich and chicken malai tikka. The husband approves of the club sandwich for all late night continental food cravings, so we’re going to be ordering in pretty frequently now!Mr. Narinder Sharma, the manager from Ahmedabad and mr. Anup Bajaj from the corporate office took my feedback and concern seriously and i must appreciate the effort put in to not leave this single customer unhappy, ensuring i become a regular and Happy patron!A special mention to Bhavin, who came to deliver the food and was extremely courteous.1st order:I was pleasantly surprised to find this place on the list of zomato delivery places, and the zomato gold offer on delivery felt like a bonus! One struggles to find good chicken in this area and i was glad that this would be a safe and standard and hopefully, a new regular for us.Ordered tandoori chicken, dal makhani, chicken khao suey. The order took a while to deliver ( an hour), which i was somewhat prepared for, but what killed the mood was the poorly packed food! The khao suey was packed in paper-cardboard box and all the gravy had leaked out, what i found inside was just the noodles. They should have been packed separately, in a bowl similar to the daal makhani. I understand that they probably have a no-plastic policy, but care must be taken to pack better. Everything tasted well, the quality of the chicken was one of the best in this city- non fibrous and fresh. Dal makhani was soothing without being too spicy, hit the right spot, and the naan was soft and delicious. I would love to order again but only if they improve their packing. Zomato was kind enough to revert the amount for the spoilt khao suey but such wastage is heartbreaking.
It was a flying visit to Ahmedabad to review the food of recently launched Palms Kitchen at Fairfield by Marriott which was Holiday Inn Express earlier, a great four star brand operated by Duet Hotels where hospitality is at it’s best and a good hotel with all the necessary amenities in place to make your stay comfortable.Palms Kitchen is the casual dining restaurant of the hotel with decent vibrant decor, spacious and comfortable seating with a professional team. Restaurant serves Continental, Asian and North Indian cuisine and every dish we tried was outstanding be it Indian cuisine or Asian.During lunch we tried some Chinese n Thai dishes like Prawns Salt n pepper which were crisp n just perfect, Chilly pepper Corn on Spinach is one of my favorites to start our meal and it was quite delightful with very thin n crisp spinach with Golden crisp Corns n looks awesome too. Khao Suey is one of their hot selling dish and our server suggested to try out and was indeed outstanding and a must try. Butter Chilly Garlic Crispy Water Chestnut is another must have starter crunchier n tastier. Tried my all time favorite Chicken Green Thai Curry with steamed rice and it was mindblowing with creamy curry. At Dinner we tried the Murg Malai kebabs melted in mouth with a burst of flavors, Kathi rolls are also their most ordered one and we quite relished it. Mutton Rogan Josh with tandoori roti made a great meal with rich red gravy with aroma of spices n delicious to the core. There is so much on the menu to try and one visit is not enough. The team is courteous and well trained to serve the guests with warmth and I wish them all the very best.
