After trying almost every Sunday Brunch in Ahmedabad, we turned up at Tinello, Hyatt Regency for the first time. And boy, were we in for a treat! We were escorted to a table in the main serving area – the staff asked us for our preference of beverages from an assortment – the orange and the mint mojito were exquisite and made to perfection. The brunch, consisting of nearly 60 items, were placed in an organised pattern – the western and Indian main course, along with the soups, were placed at a wall which seemed quite small from far, but the design is such that it gives a feeling of immense space to move around. We started with the antipasto – the pumpkin and ricotta roll, lime zest, walnut crumble was a superb dish with a completely different taste – the roll was quite soft! The celery salad with roasted mushroom and white bean were presented in a beautiful way – the taste was excellent, though there was slightly more celery than necessary. The Muffuletta (a sicilian sesame round bread sandwich) stuffed with veggies was a superb dish – when it was served to our table, it resembled an Indian dabeli! It was grilled and the veggies were fresh and cooked to perfection. From the live station, we ordered for – thin crust pizza with fresh tomato, onion, olive and green chilli and the basil, mushroom ricotta tortellini. The Pizza was crisp and hot which was a delicacy to devour it within seconds! The tortellini was an outstanding piece of art – soft, tasty and melting in the mouth. The cheese sauce was cooked to perfection and was a delight to consume. In the Western Main course, the mushroom and bean lasagne, sicilian caponata, Pasta alla Norma, Baked mash potato with garlic confit and bread crumb, stuffed eggplant rolls – all these were superb, especially the lasagne, wherein the beans were very soft and a delight to relish. In the dessert section – though all of them looked appealing, we took the strawberry creameux and pistachio mousse, mango, caramel and coconut cake, Gianduja Marquise, Chocolate truffle slice and the panna cotta. Each was a myriad of ingredients mixed well to give a heavenly pleasure in the mouth. For me, the standout dish was the tortellini – so much, that I will try to cook it someday at home. A wonderful experience – the staff was outstanding, accommodating our requests and the ambience is wonderful. The design, as i said before, has been painstakingly thought of. I will not hesitate to suggest or turn up here again for an occasion!
