Last year on my Birthday, I visited Hyatt, TG. So this year, I decided to check out Zomato and stumbled upon Mrs. Mage. I fell in love with the concept of the no-cuisine restaurant.Hospitality 10/10, they care for your opinion, your requirements in dining and your overall experience.Ambiance 10/10, they managed to inculcate elegant chandeliers with modern seating.Food:Just order things that you love in general (if it’s an ingredient in the menu) and you will be surprised by the innovation of their food.Potato Frazzle with Artisan Raclette melted cheese on top. The cheese was recommended by the guy serving our table and it was a perfectly balanced combination.Mushroom Artichoke with Paprika Bourdin cheese. Again a recommendation of the server. Only if you love your cheese to taste spicy, should you try this one. Not quite sure if everyone will like it ( I did, but not as much as Artisan) The mushrooms were well cooked and no complaints on them.Mrs. Mage Roulette (veg) consisting of dried vegetable crisps, potato wedges (deliciously coating), Onion rings and I believe chickpea wonton (forgot the name) The quantity is perfect for sides for two and the dips take a big thumbs up from me. They provide 4 dips and I will rank them in the order of my liking (Chili Garlic Mayo, Three Cheese, Tornado Dressing and homemade Ketchup)Post these we were served a palate cleanser (while good, I still liked the palate cleanser of TG, just my personal opinion)For the mains, we ordered Caribbean Veg Rice and Herb Grilled Chicken.I would definitely recommend the Herb Grilled Chicken. It was just perfectly grilled and the combination of the mashed potatoes along with it, just won my tastebuds. For dessert, I ordered deconstructed Banana Split, While delicious, it would probably only work well for those who love caramel. (turns out, I like caramel, but not too much).Added Special Mention: While Mr. Laksh was talking to me and taking my review, I just happened to mention that I was celebrating my birthday last year at TG, Hyatt and hence decided to spend this Bday at Mrs. Mage, Hyatt. They asked me to wait for a few minutes and made my dinner really special with an amazing cake (amazing is an understatement)To the management of Hyatt, if you read this review, I wanna thank you for this splendid experience and would also want to ask what cake was it, since it was absolutely brilliant. Too bad, I already had dessert before it, else I wouldn’t have left a piece.
Superb ambience and amazing food. The corn soup and the Caribbean rice were the pick of the lot. Considering the brand name of Hyatt, it was really quite reasonably priced.
Mrs mage is a new place to visit in hyatt Vastrapur Ahmedabad. Ambience and staff is pretty awesome as per the expectation. Service is fast. It was a birthday of one of my friend..They provided little complementary cake too..That was very sweet gesture. Overall if u like 5 star food u can surely visit the place.
#HyattAhmedabad #MrsMage #NewPlaceAlertBeing a frequent visitor at Hyatt (we loves TGs a lott), we noticed that a new restaurant was coming up at the same place where Chocol’art was there. We were eagerly waiting to visit the place since the day of its launch. The restaurant requires prior table reservation so whenever you are planning to visit (yes we know you will plan to visit after reading our review and seeing the pictures), book your table in advance. Ambience- Like any other restaurants at Hyatt, the ambience is beautiful. The place has both outdoor and indoor seating arrangement. Modern ambience with beautiful chandeliers!!! Coming to the food, we were 2 people and we tried a LOT of food!!! Mage Coffee, Rs. 198- Ice coffee with chocolate and hazelnut syrup topped with cheese sauce- yes CHEESE sauce in coffee. This shall taste really good if you coffee and cheese together i.e. while having this drink, if one will have only cheese or coffee then the actual taste of the coffee cannot be experienced. This drink we could have it till the time desserts came. Lychee cranberry mage tea, Rs. 148- Prominent taste of lychee and cranbeery- refreshing drink indeed! In vegetarian we tried: Beans and Tortilla soup, Rs. 88- Loved the flavour and thickness of the soup. Fresh soup with kidney beans and tortilla tasted great. Garden of Eden, Rs 138- The salad consisted of poached Anjou pear, greek yoghurt, bocconcini- loved the quantity and freshness of the bowl! Artichoke stuffed mushroom, Rs. 248- Pan fried mushroom were stuffed with spinach and cheese- super soft and were served piping hot. Cheese poured over the mushrooms is itself an eye pleasing experience but yes it did add taste to the mushrooms as well. Chicago Style Deep Dish Pizza, Rs. 488- Cheese pizza with tomato sauce- baked really nicely but 4 small pieces at this price- we felt it to be little overpriced. But yes, it did taste well and another café in town serving Chicago Deep Dish pizza is a treat for cheese lovers. Mrs Mage Roulette, Rs. 408- It’s a MUST have here. It had four small portions each containing dehydrated vegetable, onion rings, mac bites and Potato wedges. It was served with four dips- chilli garlic mayo, tornado dressing, three cheese dressing and homemade ketchup. We loved the presentation, taste and quantity of this dish!! This is indeed a perfect dish to have for snacks/ munching. One can spin the plate hence the name Roulette. Autumn Orchard, Rs. 248- It’s a MUST try!! In Mrs Mage Roulette, there is a portion of dehydrated vegetable but this should be ordered separately. We had this for the first time in our life- it is basically dehydrated vegetables (carrot, beetroot and broccoli) with chipotle chilli dressing with cheese sauce and sea salt. These tastes like chips as they are thin. These are dehydrated for 12 hours before serving. Cajun grilled cheese steak, Rs. 288- Soft paneer cubes with paella rice , black beans and Veracruz sauce tasted great. Sauce was not spicy but added flavour due to the taste of pepper and jalapeno. For non veg lovers, this place is HEAVEN indeed. Tried Pork belly skewers, Rs. 418 and Spiced Lobster, Rs. 1568.The Spiced Lobster definitely a rare find in Ahmedabad and so delighted to infact try the lobster tail. What a dish ! Just heaven is the word for that delicious lobster meat so perfectly seasoned and cooked spot on. The lobster tail along with veggies and rice is certainly our guilt pleasure (not that guilty). Charged may be a little on the higher side for Rs. 1568. We are so happy we get something like this in Ahmedabad. In desserts, we tried: Vanilla blast, Rs. 218- Made with Quaker cookie crumbs, Tahitian vanilla ice cream, hazelnut choco spread- This should be broken from the middle so that one can see ice cream blasting!! 😛 Enjoyed all the elements of this dessert!!! Parfait, Rs. 228- Made with mascarpone, caramel sauce, nuts praline- this is infact served in a different manner unlike the regular Parfait available at coffee shops. They also retail different types of cheese so indeed a good place for cheese lovers. Thank you @hyattahmedabad for introducing us with a place like Mrs. Mage!
