I visited here on 2nd January. I wanted to use my zomato gold service here, they didn’t know about it properly and refused to add it on bill. We were 2 girls and they literally fought with us saying that we should have booked the table at least 2.5 hours back to use zomato gold, which I’ve never ever seen before. Adding further, I visit a lot many great cafes and restaurants. Moreover, there was no one available near the table. Everyone present in there was so annoyed by their service and we had to go to the counter again and again to call the waiter, even for a small service like asking for water or napkins. There was literally no one available inside the whole dinning area. The staff was very rude and low educated on gold services.Food was just okaish, not even great (for how much we suffered).Nutella shake was pathetic!
I am quite a fan of this place! Been there thrice I guess and can be there again! Their drinks are awesome! I am somehow a huge fan of their maggi thukpa! Chicken always served is awesome and juicy. The only reason of a 4 star is I have always found their service slow even though the restaurant wasn’t full!
Starting with the curiosity of the name itself, CAD tech bar is an technology inspired theme bar & restaurant. Located at the 32nd Avenue, Sector 15 is an amazing place for drinks, Chilling out with friends or working up on a client lunch meeting. ESP of this place is their interactive table console, which allows you to order food & drinks as well as play games. One can indulge in cross table games as well. Also you can vote for your favourite songs &the song with most vote gets played. The Ambience is cool and calm with outdoor seating as well. They even cater to packages for official meetings during lunch hours.Next ESP is the food. Even the names of the dishes are well thought. Once ordered for few drinks, We were served with fox nuts. Crispy & with the exact balance of spices, was perfect to compliment the drinks. For starters, In vegetarian, we tried the Spring Rolls, Cripsy with a good amount of filling was a good start to the palate. The only fault we could find was that the spring rolls were not removed on kitchen paper due to which there was a bit extra oil on them. We informed the staff & they politely took the criticism.Followed was the punjabi hummus, It was the perfect indianized version. They even prepare their own bread for this. In Non-Vegetarian, We first ordered the CCP, Chilli chicken topped with a crumble served in tartlets. Their plating was top notch with taste amazingly different than normal chilli chicken served everywhere else. Followed was the Indian Style Tandoori Prawns, Succulent fresh prawns served with mint chutney. Not all restaurants make sure that their prawns are fresh or when they are served they dont turn rubbery. CAD has taken care of this in their quality of food.Without another round of drinks, we decided to skip the main course & go directly to dessert which was the highlight of the evening. The Moong Dal Baklava had left us with no words to describe the dish. Perfection at its best. Yummy hot moong dal halwa filled into filo dough parcels served with gulab ice-cream. The hot & cold combination blew our minds wih the amazing taste.Price wise we surely didnt burn out our pockets. But it definitely was worth every penny spent. An experience to remember & a sure shot comeback place. Thanks to the entire team for giving us an amazing time.
Nice place to dine in.I went with my fam and we quickly got the seats as soon as we entered. Outer and inner ambience both were attractive but we preferred inner premises.Interiors were quite attractive and i clicked them too as you can see below. We ordered Paneer tikka, punjabi hummus, Pindi Choley, and Dal makhani. Everything was delicious and also we got one complimentary drink which was good too. (May be they liked us that’s why :p) Staff was very polite and we got our food on time. Main attraction are the tables they hold which is touch screen and you can see the entire menu there and also play games if you are with your friends. That was quite different to experience.Overall it’s a good place to explore over some good food.
CAD, short for Ctrl Alt Delete, is touted to be India’s first tech-inspired restaurant and bar, and it brings a really new and interesting concept. Located at 32nd milestone, this restaurant encapsulates its before you even enter the place. They have a touchscreen console at the entrance which lets you see the menu, the layout of the restaurant and even book a table. The technology allows them to personalize the experience for the diner by displaying the name by which the booking was made as you seat yourself at your table. All the tables inside the restaurant are also fitted with touchscreen consoles which allow you to see their food and drink menu (where each item is described in detail and even has a picture associated with it), and even place your order by adding things to the cart. The process is designed in a way that you can even ask for the bill using the same console, without requiring a waiter at all. If, however, you like the traditional approach of using a hard copy of the menu and the waiter taking your order, that option is available as well. The console also has a couple of games you can play such as Tic Tac Toe and Spin The Bottle. Another cool feature is that you can vote for your choice of music genre, and the genre getting maximum votes will then get played. CAD also has the benefit of a large outdoor space which would be amazing with the oncoming winters. The interiors inside are also plush and modern, with a lot of woodwork providing a nice elegance to the place. None of the tables are your regular rectangular and circular shapes, and they have gone with more organic, asymmetrical structures. We started off with a couple of drinks- the Risky Whisky was a scotch-base cocktail, made with fresh pineapple juice, homemade sweet n sour syrup and elderflower syrup. The drink was really well balanced, with a strong undertone of scotch which went really well with the tangy-sweet pineapple juice. The Green Apple Spritzer was a refreshing mocktail made of fresh green apple chunks muddled with basil leaves, chaat masala and apple juice, and is ideal for folks who don’t like their drinks to be super sweet. From the small bites section, we went with the CCP, which consisted of cute little mini tarts which were thin, crisp and nicely baked, and were stuffed with chili chicken, topped with a honey chili crumble. Chili Chicken is a crowd pleaser, and this version of it worked really well. We especially loved the addition of the crumble which not only gave it a nice textural element, but also added another layer of flavor to the dish. The Public Domain consisted of crispy fried cigar rolls stuffed with juicy bbq chicken, served with a mortar pestle tomato chutney. We really liked the presentation of the dish, with the rolls served in a coconut shell-like vessel that was hanging from a pole. The bbq sauce that the chicken was doused with was thick and sweet, and we really liked the smoky, spicy flavor of the tomato chutney the dish was served with. Both these dishes had very familiar and popular flavors, but had been presented in a very different way, which was really interesting. From the small plates section, we went with the Kolkata Ghugni Pate, Maggi Thukpa and Tawa Boti Masala. The Kolkata Ghugni Pate was an incredible dish that stood its own even in front of flavorsome non vegetarian dishes. This dish consisted of a smooth pate made with chickpeas, that had been so deftly spiced. We got a lovely spicy and robust flavor from the pate, which was topped with chana jor garam, which gave it a nice crunch, and also enhanced the flavor of the dish. The dish was served with a masala garlic bun, which was soft, fresh and buttery (they make all their breads in-house). This dish was a lovely rendition of simple street food that is full of flavor and has been modernized to sit on a restaurant menu. The Maggi Thukpa, in our opinion, is a genius idea- mixing two things which everybody loves- heart-warming thukpas and our beloved maggi. The broth of the thukpa had been infused with the famous magic masala, and instead of the regular noodles, the dish had our favorite maggi noodles. The broth was further enriched with nicely marinated and cooked chicken pieces, pok choy, zucchini and other vegetables, and was served with a flaky bread made with puff pastry. The Tawa Boti Masala was another wonderful dish consisting of juicy mutton pieces coated in a thick, robust gravy made with whole spices and cooked on a tawa. The mutton pieces simply melted in our mouths and the spices had nicely permeated the meat. The mutton was topped with a fresh kachumber salad and served with mini saffron paranthas. The mutton was so deftly spiced, that when had with the paranthas, we could still taste the subtle saffron flavor, which went really well with the mutton. This amazing meal came to a close with a Moong Dal Baklava, which had nicely made moong dal halwa with lots of dry fruits, stuffed inside a flaky pastry that was made with fresh, crispy filo sheet, drizzled with sugar syrup. The dish was really balanced in sweetness, and was a nice blend of the core elements of a baklava with moong dal halwa. This dish is typically served with gulab ice cream made in-house, which would certainly accent the flavors even more, but since the ice cream was unavailable, we went with vanilla ice cream. Overall, the place has a great concept and is also serving up some amazing food, making this a place worth visiting for sure! thefeastthatslife.wordpress.com
Gurgaon is huge and I realized this last Sunday when I planned my day out. I and a couple of friends decided to have lunch and as all of them live in Gurgaon, it was the place for our luncheon. We went to 32nd Milestone. I have heard of this area but had no clue about it or what kind of place it was going to be. And when I went there, I was pleasantly surprised by seeing the picturesque region. 32nd Milestone has Valet parking facility available which can be very convenient. You don’t have to worry about getting stuck in the parking game. There is a lot of greenery around. We went to Cad Tech Bar and as the name suggests, it is ahead in the technology bit. The place is on the first floor and when the weather permits, can be enjoyed sitting outside too. The fancy bit is the screen they have on the tables from which you can read the menu in detail. That is the USP of the place. Coming to the food department, I first statred with the Cajun Spiced Paneer Tikka. It’s hard to remember when the last time was when I saw Paneer Tikka and didn’t order it! These were a bit different as they had a paste of Amul Cheese stuffed inside. That Cheese made all the difference here. Loved the flavor of this dish which also had shavings of Olives on the top. Then Came Cheese Garlic Bread. Mozzarella Cheese is something which I need to have on a regular basis. And what better than consuming it in the form of Garlic Bread. These Garlic Breads came with Cheese as well as finely chopped onions on top. This is the best way to eat Garlic Bread. Loads of cheese and some veggies too. The final starter was Spring Roll. I usually don’t go for Spring Rolls in a fancy cafe or a restaurant. I have been disappointed most of the times but I ordered these as my friends wanted them. And surprisingly, it was a delicious dish. They tend to be usually bland but here, the mixture of veggies served with Sweet Chilli Sauce made it the best starter of the evening. In drinks, I tried their different Mocktails. The first one was Made In India. It was a drink that tasted just like Hajmola toffees that we used to eat in our childhood. I liked the different and tangy taste. Then came Green Apple Spritzer. It was a mixture of Green Apples, Chaat Masala and Apple Juice. The final one was Lost In Summer which was a Mango based Mocktail. In mains, I went with North Indian food. I wanted to have Alfredo Pasta too but it wasn’t available there. So went with Dal Makhani first. It came with Fried Garlic Naan and was topped with White Butter. If you’re a fan of creamy Dal Makhani, you’re going to like it. The next dish was a colorful duo of curries – 5 Pepper Kofta and Palak Paneer. It also came with Sesame Naan. I liked the Kofta Balls that came with it. Both the North Indians were really good. Overall, the place is a perfect option in 32nd Milestone. Given the positive vibes all around coupled with great food, Cad Tech Bar is a restaurant that will be loved by one and all. thatveggieblogger.com
