This restaurant is the only one in this city that offers Kolkata Biryani with the taste closest to the original one. I congratulate you guys for that.I ordered Mutton Biryani from Zomato—Quality of food was very good except the rice that could have been of better qualityQuantity was ample in terms of price. Value for moneyMy special request were also taken care of properlyTaste as I said was the closest to Kolkata Biryani. Make it a little more spicy and you will crack the code.
So, first of all, thank you for providing me with an experience which truly resembled home. Coming to the food, had ordered mutton biryani via home delivery. Taste was good, mutton pieces were succulent and the potato was well cooked. The only thing i found unsatisfactory was the way the rice was cooked. Felt it was overcooked resulting in a kind of stickiness which is not desired in Kolkata style biryani. But overall a good first time experience. Eager to try this outlet more often.

We had tried the Chicken Biriyani with aloo and egg, mutton biriyani and chicken chaap. The food was lipsmacking. Biriyanis were exactly the Kolkata style. Spices were blended perfectly, no additional oil. I have tried Kolkata style biriyani in many places outside kolkata, however, no place could do justice of satiating my expectations & taste buds. Pet Puraan’s biriyani was an exception. The aroma, quality of food, texture of rice actually defined the authentic Calcutta style cooking. The price is pretty reasonable and we got good value for money spend. The kitchen team is really passionate about food & culinary experiences of customers. They explicitly request for feedback which shows that they believe in improvement. I am definitely going to order from here and will recommend to my friends and colleagues in NCR. My suggestions to the team would be to come up with some more variety or season special menu like poila boishakh, sankranti etc.
Authentic Bengali Cuisine!! Take a bow .. ordered chicken rezala and mutton biryani .. both were sublime .. One small feedback – consistency of the pieces of mutton, potato and egg was missing, possibly due to high demand during festive season .. Hope this small nugget of wisdom will help you get better !! Keep up the good work !!
