So we happened to go to this place as it was one of the most frequented joints by my husband till some time ago – he and his friend could just not stop raving about the dahi ke kebab here. Honestly I have never been a fan of the dish having tasted it only once in life, but their constant praise and 7 hours without food made me look forward to eating here! What we ordered at around 9:30 in the night? Dahi ke kebab (without any doubts), paneer tikka, gobi masala, paneer makhanwala, shakarkand & pineapple chaat(chef special) and a non veg dish! Phew now that i am writing about it, i realize that is way too much for a crowd of 3!As for the detailed review of each dish, let’s start from the beginning -Dahi ke kebab – They were just not right. We got a pungent smell the moment we took the first bite – may be the curd used had gone bad. We had to call the staff and send it back! But Kudos to the staff, they not only took that batch back but also replaced it after a while with a new fresh batch – and let me tell you they were amazing! My rating – 4.5/5Paneer Tikka – uff! This was downright tasty and yum – the paneer was just so soft and marinated properly – loved this dish!My rating – 4.5/5Gobi Masala – Am the last person who will eat gobhi if given a choice of something else. But the grilled gobhi here looked appetizing and being hungry, i gave it a try! And boy! I liked it – in fact, i ate more of it after that first bite. It was properly grilled and served with mayo sauce – you should try it if you like gobhi. My rating – 4/5Paneer Makhanwala – This dish actually arrived last and we were too full to have it – but the taste was good. I found it a tad too sweet but then that is how Makhanwala is supposed to be. But the gravy was really smooth and thick. I would however like to try other paneer veg dishes here before commenting that this was the best!My rating – 3.5/5Shakarkand & Pineapple chaat – I ordered this solely because i wanted to try something different and this was mentioned as chefs special. But to my disappointment, it did not turn out all that great. It was written in the description that it would be spicy which is what attracted me – sweet potato and pineapple, both sweet ingredients in a spicy taste – sounds interesting no? But it was sweet only! And for 370 bucks, it was totally not worth it! Also, there were lesser pineapple pieces than i expected – otherwise, barbequed pineapple is something i just love!My rating – 2/5Non veg dish – Well i dont remember the name. Although from the looks of it, it looked really tasty but as per our non veg friend, it was just average. So, my friend’s rating – 3/5One thing though – Where as the service and the staff is great, they really seemed to be wanting us to have a good time and good food, the prices are really high! And if you like big places to have food then you might go somewhere else. This is a small place and we sat outdoors since the weather was good.Oh and yes – don’t forget the mayo onions – this is the first place in my life that a restaurant has given onions covered with mayo – interesting! All in all – you can definitely go to this place but avoid a few dishes!Cheers! thehappyfoods.com
