Italian cuisine has always been comfort food and for a person like me who craves for Italian food in every new city,Nick’s comes as a surprise.The service comes with glitches since the waiters are forever busy and placing your order itself is a task.But the food makes up for it.I had very low expectations from my ravioli Al pomodoro but the portion size surprises.The ravioli pieces are huge and the proportion of sauce and pasta is perfect.Also comes accompanied with 2 pieces of garlic bread.The pizza that I had tasted great too.The chocolate cheesecake is a must try for people who love chocolate in any form.Overall barring some teething issues,if Italian food is what you are craving for at McLeod then Nick’s is your saviour.
I personally feel this Nick’s lemon ginger honey tea is probably the best that I’ve had ever! The croissants were not soggy and tasted of butter without being heavy. The whole wheat jaggery almond cake was not too sweet and tasted nice although the cinnamon was a little heavy. Overall the cafe has great seating and a decent view. There is ample seating space. The decor is great. Definitely must try it!
