Lunch time and hunger struck hard.It was raining and chilled and we needed some food asap.As we were strolling down the mall area we saw this place and decided quickly to have our lunch. The place looks enticing. The major thingie which will hit you when you go inside is their dessert counters filled with cookies, pastries, macarons and goodies. Once you overcome that sweet phase you will see beautifully set tables, very casual. The service was brilliant. We ordered:Mushroom cream soup. It was bliss in that spine chilling weather. The soup was seasoned well.Chicken clear soup.Okayish I would say. Did the job.Chicken stroganoff. My all time favourite continental dish. The veggies were fresh and not overcooked (thank god they got it right).Chicken Sashlik kebab platter.A bit tangy to my palate but I guess that’s how it is supposed to be. Chicken was tender and juicy and the veggies were fresh. The rice served was cooked perfectly.Ordered some whiskey sour and couple other mocktails to go with the food and yeah pretty well.Cleanliness wasn’t an issue, hygiene maintained was as per good standards.

Dining at Combermere was a surreal experience. The ambience was top notch. The lighting and music perfectly complimented the food. Tomato soup we ordered was warm and fresh. Bread crumbles were not soggy. Daal makhni and panner were medium spiced. Bread was cooked nicely. Must visit place for family dining and live music. Nice view from the place is a bonus.

One of the finest place in Shimla to dine in. The atmosphere attitude of employees every thing is fantastic. Though the place is little bit pricey than other restaurants in Shimla but it’s worth it.

One of the best place to have coffee/food a chill out on mall road. We are a fan of cafe SOL. There hot coffee is one of the best on mall road and food is delicious. Do try their cookies, cottage cheese steak and in coffee the tale of two chocolate. The only thing which is an issue is you have to go all the way down to 3rd floor for the washroom.

Combermere is ever green place to eat in simla. Strategically located near the lift and on mall road is added attraction. The service is very good. Biryani and sizzler along with dum Alu were well prepared. A place to have food whenever you go to simla and arw looking for outdoor seating.

I had my dinner at this place with my family on a recent trip to Shimla. Although we were not staying at the property, but while having dinner we almost had a tour of the property. It’s a huge property and has been built up really well. We ordered Dal Makhani Combermere Spl, Chicken Tikka Masala, Kadahi Chicken along with Lacha Parantha and Garlic Naan.Everything was really very tasty, we enjoyed our dinner here.
