Hard working labors, people with desk jobs, rich people, poor people it doesn’t matter. Just about everyone has a soft corner for Jamshedpur’s street food. You don’t agree with me – Go ask Imitiaz Ali or R. Mahadevan, they will confirm :DOut of the many chowpaty in the city, the one’s in Bistupur are most popular. The D.M.Madan Lane is mostly a witness to a lot of hustle and bustle with its omnipresent pav bhaji, golgappa and chat, tea and roll (wraps) food stalls. A new recent trend (and by recent i mean a few years) has been for Momo and those dear to me know how dearly I love a Momo. It is a food which is easy to eat but very difficult to make and perfect.One of the stalls at the D.M.Madan food lane is of Mahi Chinese Momo. A no-brainer of a ‘thela’ of a friend of my brother’s, which has found its mark selling only Chicken, veg and paneer momos.A plate would come with 10 pieces (in Pune it is 6), some soup, red chilli chutni, green coriander chutni and veg mayo.The momo itself is mostly with a juicy center and a medium to thick crust. Service is fast mostly but wait times can be up-to 20 min on weekends.This corner has been able to strike a cord with the locals and I would recommend you try it if in Bistupur.Cost for two average is Rs 100Happy eating ! foodshashtra.wordpress.com
