H3O is very close to my place and here I come often. This place is nice, comfortable for me.Bar is available here so I recommend not to come with family though you can go to other floors of Nandhini where there is good place to come with family.Rates are decent. The place is little noisy though here all standard people come. You can get 155 discount if you have CitiBank credit card.Food is same like all Nandhini restaurant.
I went to this place some time back because I was low on cash and was informed that they accept food coupons for dine in! So on a cloudy Sunday afternoon I decided to check this place out as I was craving some Andhra biryani. Well this place is on the 3rd floor of the Nandhana Hotel and there is no sign advertising it anywhere! Strange. Once i entered, I was surprised they had a full fledged bar! And the best part – they accept food coupons for beer as well! Well that’s a good thing as I had 6 months of coupons left (I never use them and don’t know how to cancel it!). So it was set then! I was pleased I got to have my customary Sunday afternoon beer(s)!Now comes the food. I asked for Chicken 65 as its truly Andhra. I was shocked by what I got. 4 bony pieces which was on the verge of becoming cold. No side salad, no lime, no onion. Ok, lets try Guntur Chicken next is what i said. Again, bad idea. It was a tad too salty and I could tell it was some packet masala that was used. For main course (and 3 beers down!) I decided to have the Chicken Biryani. Well I am used to it’s sister branch, Nandhini’s quantity and was expecting the same. But alas, the quantity was smaller, but the taste was good. Not better than Nandhini, but definitely a pass. They serve it with hot and spicy gravy which went down real well. I skipped the dessert. So overall, this is a slight cheap imitation of a fine dining Andhra restaurant. They aim for the luxury chord but miss it by a few strings. Food can be a hit or a miss. the starters I had were disastrous; but the main course was good. The beer, well it was ice cold and was the saving grace in keeping the starters down! The only winning point they have is that they accept food coupons for the bar as well. So if you are like me and have 6 months of coupons saved up – this may well be a good bet. Cheers!Rohan
