Tasty Corner is the name of the place and I went here to check how tasty it was for breakfast ! Also called as George’s mess, this is a small place dishing out Kerala style food. It was empty when I first landed here and opted for a takeaway as I had to grab breakfast for a few others as well. The ambiance is simple and as the name state’s its a mess style of a place , so do not expect a fine or a casual dining here, this is more like a cafeteria.They have a very simple menu comprising of regular breakfast stuff like idly and dosa. They also have appam, idiyappam ( not available when i went in) and puttu ( being a kerala place , this is a must ). No vada’s though here.My takeaway comprised of idly, aapam and kadalai (chickpea) curry. Idly was soft but was very thick, seemed quite bigger than the idly’s we usually get to see. Aapam was nice and fluffy. Sambar was a little bland, not impressive at all. Chutney was watery but had the taste was there. Kadalai curry stood out for me – right spice, right taste and gels well with anything you eat be it idly or aapam. Nothing much on the service as there was no one present except the person managing the order and he himself went in and packed the food as well. Can try once a while ! foodntraveldiaries.in
