This is the house of the famous chicken ghee roast! Used to be my dad’s favourite place to dine about 20 years back. Visited this restaurant after his recommendation! The chicken ghee roast with neer dosa is a killer combination! Had it everyday during my stay in Mangalore. They also play English hits from 1995-2005 like Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue! What an experience!
I used to really like the food over here, but the service is very slow, and the waiters aren’t attentive. After we came, neither was our table set, nor was the cutlery put out, and we had to ask for something as basic as water or the bill for a minimum of 3 times before someone got to us.Really disappointed with the service.Food is good, the chicken ghee roast and paneer ghee roast is tasty.
This restaurant is situated at centre of city.. about a kilometre away from bus stand..We ordered bangda fish curry, boiled rice with rice, seer fish masala fry, kanne (lady fish ) rava fry , lime soda and butter milk.Ambience: is pretty decent ,well lit and air conditioned.Service: good, polite and courteous waiters.Food-pros: the menu has good spread of seafood and chicken dishes has a few veg dishes as well .All fish dishes had fresh fish.Must try the seer fish masala fry and kanne rava fry here loved it.Alcohol is also served.Cons: the food here has very less salt but once you add salt the food is fine.Quatity: good, large and filling portions of fish.Value for money: reasonable for the quantity provided.Kanne rava fry -₹400/-Seer masala fry -₹250/-Fish curry- ₹120/-Overall experience: decent ambience, good quantity and decent taste. All in all a nice experience.
