Four stars just for their ghee roast chicken which is out of this world! Still remember the first time I had it, I found it just too spicy and never thought I wud come back for it again. But I did, many a times just to have it. It grows on u. It is their trademark . It doesn’t get better than this
CHICKEN URVAL. THIS is a dish that will leave you licking your fingers.We often took away parcels as I agree that the place is dimly lit and gives a feeling not that of a family restaurant. I’ve been born and brought up in Mangalore and kind of have studied the varieties of food available everywhere. This restaurant serves the BEST CHICKEN URVAL. The other dishes aren’t that great. But Urval is heavenly.
This place is on the bustling KS Rao Road and yet goes unnoticed. A dim place with a shady ambience. Good if you’re going for a drink as prices are very reasonable. The food is not great. Although chicken ghee roast is said to be really good, unfortunately the kitchen was closed when I visited (around 3pm). However, I got to try the chicken 65, which was okay-ish but not impressive. Chicken chilly was quite good too! Biryani was tasty as well. Overall a nice place to go if you’re solely planning on drinks and starters. Wouldn’t recommend going with family.UPDATE: I had a chance to visit this place again and got to try the chicken ghee roast. I must say it was quite good, although not mind-blowing.
