People were friendly at the mess and explained the origin of the Thanjavur clay pot food..they said they source fresh fish etc. everyday and they make it in the best authentic way as possible. However, the mess doesn’t have functioning taps (didn’t when we went there). Food served on banana leaf, clean and they use biodegradable leafware only (which is good). Prices were on the steep side. A lunch for two (with chicken item and fish item) cost us around 850 INR.
Service is really bad and it gets worser every visit. Prices are bit on higher side for what they offer. Few items take lot of time to get delivered. Once we went for lunch and ordered meal, time was around 2.30, most of curries and side dish was over. They could have simply said meals is over, they served a half meal and charged complete price.
