Finding authentic cuisine is always a challenge and Samrajya has nailed this one so brilliantly. Curating lip smacking dishes throughout Maharashtra, keeping in the theme completed with the pagdi’s and seating. Coming to the food, right from the sabudana had a to the crunchies, everything was made from scratch and with ingredients that were brought in from the state. Really loved the vada paav, misal paav which was the right amount of spicy. In non veg my favourite were the prawns, bhangda fry and succulently cooked mutton, happy that not even once the spices overpowered the food. We also tried put few thaali’s- special mention to the mutton thaali that had a different kind of roasted coconut Masala which have it a Smokey taste. Ended with delicious puranpoli- too good it was.I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.Taste 4.5/5Ambience 4.5/5Service 5/5Value for money 4.5/5

There are rarely any good maharashtrian restaurants in Bangalore. It was a delight and I was excited to discover a authentic maharashtrian cuisine in the city.DrinksButtermilk – Light and refreshing. With hunt of spices the buttermilk really elevates your pallete for the food to come.StartersVadapav – cripsy and flavourful soft Vadas served in authentic Bombay pav with a side of chilly was nostalgic. It also has the dry coconut chutney just as I remember having in Mumbai. This is a must try.Sabudana Vada – Sabudana Vada has a cripsy enjoyable texture. You can feel the peanuts and chilly. I just wish there was more flavour to it.Alu Vadi – For any maharashtrian who’s missing home food I would recommend them to come here and try this. A complete hit among the crowd.Kothimbir Vadi – Served in bite size along with sauce. This makes for quite a sharable plate in a crowd. Quite delicious.Bhaji Plate – Even though all the items in the plate is fried it doesn’t heavy when you take a bite. I would recommend you to try it on a rainy day to enjoy the weather with a hot cup of chai.Main CourseMisal Pav – Piping hot misal served with Bombay style pav and side of onions and lime. Would take u back to those misal days in Maharashtra. Although this misal here lacked the punch of spicy flavour you maybe used to. It was pretty decent.Bharali Vaangi -Brinjal cooked in authentic maharashtrian spices this is a must have with soft Jowar roti. Flavour was bang on .. and spices was tickling all the right taste buds.Mutton SukkaTender spicy mutton with red chilli spice was by far the best mutton Sukka I have had in Bangalore. Highly recommended.Bangda Fish ThaliServed with fish fry , Sukka bombil and fish curry. The fish fry and fish curry is authentic and delicious. This was a superb combination with rice. Served with sol kadi.I would recommend change Suka bombil with prawns instead. Suka bombil is acquired taste.SweetsPuranpoli – Spongy puranpoli with amazing sweet stuffing. This I would recommend to anyone with a sweet tooth. The staff was extremely polite and welcoming.
