I have heard from many people about this place.I tried their Curd rice at a food festival. They make everything from scratch. If you are looking for a vegetarian place that serves fresh home made food, you should go to this place. You get decent portion sizes of healthy and tasty food at affordable prices. They are very light on the tummy and filling at the same time. The curd rice tasted a little milky but it was definitely worth the money.
One of the best place in Basavanagudi which serves authentic south indian food. The place is colourful and a very pleasant and homely ambience. They serve sakkare Pongal, kadamba(Bisibele bath), Puliogre and much more. Everything is just perfect and tastes very homely! It’s a perfect place for those who love home food but are away from home.Very reasonably priced and great taste.
Delicious home style food made by this cafe at a corner on the streets on Basavanagudi . The cafe is run by a Brahmin management and hence its authentic taste and hygeine standards are so gooddddd .The place is very accessible from the National College metro station , it’s a 10 minutes walk and the walk is 100% worth it.The food here is homely and takes you around the original taste of authentic south indian delicacies. The menu is different everyday and the updates are posted on their Instagram page , do follow them for more details of the everyday updating menu ! Head here for some amazing lunch. The place is open only from 11pm-3pm .
As the name says EAT-REP-EAT , the cafe serves very light bramin home made food that one can relish and enjoy all the food in the menu without getting tired. The restaurant has a very vivid and entertaining caricature painting in the entrance and the interior is very simple with few steel tables and chairs. The owner is very friendly with all the custo and active at the same timeThe speciality here -1. The menu keeps on changing daily and the same is updated on instagram everyday by the owner himself.2.If the cafe is on leave on special occasions like festival even that is update by the owner.3.They also prepare food without garlic and onion.4. They exclusively provide free drinking water added tulasi and Emerald camphor (pacha karpooram) which is has so many medical benefits and tastes very refreshing at the same time. And they have a huge copper water tank which adds more medical benifit.5. All the vegetables used are bought daily ans freshly cooked by them. Now lets talk food , we tried few of the most iocnic dishes which are available everyday due to hight demand of the customers1. Sweet pongal – seriously this was the best of best sweet pongal which I had in my entire life. This was not a normal sweet pongal the ghee and rice and jaggery was so well blended to perfection and every spoon I had was like panchamrutha infused with sweet pongal. I had 2 plates to satisfy my taste buds.2. Puliyogare – The tamarind and the masala used for making the rice was kept secret when asked but the puliyogare. The taste was so well preserved and it was lingering on my palate for a while.3. White rice with majjige huli (sour buttermilk sambar) – The sambar was well prepared with bottle gaurd and palak, they keep on changing the sambar combo & vegetables every day.It also had a bit of coconut flavour which gave a added tatse.4. Mysore pak – They also prepare home made mysore pak which was soft and melted in my mouth the moment it entered and the sweetness was well balanced and I loved it.Overall this cafe has so much consciousness on what they are prepare and deliver to the customers in such a affordable price.
