The place is famous for idly and vada. It was so crowded that both the times I went, I couldn’t get to taste idly. Even at 4 in the evening of a weekday it’s difficult to get idly from here. It’s a small shop with no place to sit.
Easily the best idli in town. A huge fan of this place. Those melt-in-mouth idlis and white butter on top are definitely the best i have had.This small shop is in the narrow lanes of Commercial street, easy for one to miss this off. This place opens at 5.30 pm and runs out of idli by 8-8.30 pm. Be ready to wait, it’s super crowded and takes time to get hold of those piping hot idlis.My recommendation: idli with double butter. You get 4 Idlis and 2 scoops of desi white butter, with two varieties of chutney.
Legandary outlet Alert!This place does not justify with the rating and it completely deserves all the applause. Shree Idly corner, located on the by-lanes of commercial street is a joint that serves piping hot lipsmacking Idlis with 2 types of chutneys and in house butter on request. One must not miss the extra butter here. Idlis are hot and fresh and complements perfectly with the chutneys served here. Make sure to visit the place a bit early than the scheduled closing time as Idlis get over soon. If you are travelling from from metro, the nearest station is MG road which is around 2 kms. Also do not get your cars here as you will not get parking at all! They also serve Shavige bath and vadas which are delicious as well. Dont miss out this place and save it on your bookmarks ASAP!
Shree idly corner, serving up some really hot, fresh and maybe one of the softest idlis in Bangalore.Reached here at 5pm yesterday and they were just getting set up. They made pretty much everything right there in front of us.In 15-20 mins, we had a plate of piping hot idlis with a vada, two chutneys and a very generous helping of white butter. The chutneys are also pretty great, both are on the spicier side and they are absolutely delicious! It’s a very small joint but there’s place to sit just across the street or one can stand, so Ambience of the place doesn’t really matter because the food is just that good. Must visit!
