This delightful chavadi located on Bannerghatta Road is a perfect blend of your nostalgic village feels and all modern day vibes..Wonderfully decked up with bamboo and lantern decor to make you feel at home, the rooftop location makes it even more mesmerising..The food they served tasted out of this world.. Their wide assortment of starters were amazing, special mentions to the paneer tikka, chicken tikka and the prawns.. All the egg dishes especially Mutta Roast with Appam in the main course deserve a special shoutout, and it wouldn’t be fair to forget the yummy desserts that made our time there much much sweeter..They also have a full bar and a wonderful menu of beverages.. Prompt service added to th charm of the place.. The ambience is cozy enough for one to even settle down with a fine drink and a lovely book,, they have a good collection of books to that accord as well..This place is definitely worth a visit, you will surely have a good time…What we Tried.Drinks :Hot Chocolate : RecommendedJager Bomb : RecommendedStarters:veg and non veg pizza : RecommendedMater Melon Salad : RecommendedPaneer Tikka : RecommendedChicken Malai Tikka : Highly RecommendedMutton keema Pao : Highly RecommendedVeg Nachos : RecommendedPrawn Tempura : Highly RecommendedMutton Kakori Kewab : RecommendedMain Course :Mutta Roast with Appam : Highly RecommendedDesserts :Hot Chocolate Brownie : RecommendedCoffee Tiramisu : Highly RecommendedWood fired Apple Pie : Highly RecommendedHomemade Matka Kulfi : Recommended..Overall Rating :Food : 5/5Service : 5/5Ambience : 4.8/5
Chavadi is a rooftop cafe located off Bannerghatta Road that flaunts it’s fabulous view and also serves up delicious food and drinks. Located in the 4th floor, Chavadi’s woody and rustic decor along with the luscious green background highlighting IIM Bangalore’s campus is the perfect place to spend some quality time. Food: 4.5/5Ambience: 4.5/5Drinks: 4/5Service: 4.5/5We started off with a couple of drinks- 1) Pina colada which was really well made. The ratio of juice to alcohol was proper and I loved the pronounced coconut flavour in it 2) Jalapeño Margarita which was unique and had a spicy kick to it3) Litchi curry martini, the chilli and curry leaf flavour was a bit too punchy and I couldn’t have more than two sips 4) Chavadi Neera which was a coconut water based cocktail, it had a unique presentation and tasted good 5) Peanut butter and banana shake was thick and tasty 6) Orange and carrot nourishing drink was very bitter and needed more sweetness to balance it out 7) Beetroot and apple nourishing drink, the earthy beetroot flavour overtook everything and again needed a relief of sweetness like honey to balance it out In the starters we tried 1) Chavadi nachos: not a fan of pineapple in my nachos. It made it very sweet 2) Kibbeh: Which were Lebanese spinach and spring onion cutlets with pita bread and hummus. It tasted lovely, I really enjoyed it. Just one drawback was that the hummus was very liquidy. Hummus is supposed to be thick and spreadable but it was more of a sauce consistency and it needed a little more salt 3) Malai paneer tikka. The green chutney was fabulous and the paneer was very tender. It needed more seasoning but apart from that it was good 4) Watermelon, chèvre and orange salad topped with feta cheese and tossed in a herb vinaigrette. Absolutely loved it. It was cool and refreshing and not too heavy on the dressing like many places! In the main course we tried 1) Mutta roast with appam which was heavenly. The combination of coconut curry with soft and fluffy appams was lip smacking 2) Spicy okra in Allepey coconut curry with appam which was another smashing dish. Beautifully executed. It was a harmonious medley of spice, sour and subtle creaminess of the coconut milk4) Veggie overloaded pizza. The crust could have been crispier and a little more flavour would have been better. For desserts we had 1) Tiramisu. It’s a MUST TRY. The mascarpone coffee cream was luscious and smooth. The coffee soaked savoiardi biscuits were soft and flavourful. One of the best tiramisus I’ve had in Bangalore that we had to order one more 2) Sizzling chocolate brownie with hot chocolate and ice cream. I guess the hot plate was too hot which scorched all the sauce and gave a very bitter burnt taste. This was the one dish that I didn’t enjoy. 3) Woodfired apple pie. This was delicious too. The buttery shortcrust pastry with the slightly sweetened stewed apples was really good. 4) Matka ice cream was over set. It wasn’t easy to cut into. Overall I enjoyed my experience there and I would love to visit again. The service is courteous and friendly as well
I loved every dessert and their special cocktails was amazing. Surprisingly their Jalapeno Margarita was real good. Should try their leeche Mocktail as well. They have really good Mangalorean food and a bookshelf full of books for and by the customers.Their vegetarian dishes were as amazing. I loved their Watermelon chevere orange salad. Their mutton and chicken was amazing. Their keema paw was a perfect blend and I loved their prawn crackers with prawn tempura. Its worth a try.
Ahh This Place for me is Love at First Sight, the decor, the ambience, the serenity, the greenery and all those contemporary touch to the whole place took me over. I tried many different dishes Prawn Tempura, Chicken Tikka, Paneer Tikka, Fish Cake in Lemon Butter sauce, Keema Pav, Wood Fired Apple Pie, Tiramisu, Tandoori Chicken Pizza, Veg Pizza, Appam and Egg Curry and a lot more. I loved the effort they gave in each and every dish they prepare. Most of the dishes were really good. And the menu is very elaborate with additional Wood Fired Pizza menu and Cocktail Menu. The place made me feel close to nature, and with the courteous staff the whole experience turned out really good. I would really like to go back to the place again for their Appams and Egg Roast, Keema. Pav, Wood Fired Pizza, Wood Fired Apple Pie, and Tiramisu♥️♥️♥️
I discovered this place my accident but definitely a happy one. The cafe has a welcoming ambiance offering best food, books and plants. The view from the cafe is awesome. The place is highly recommended if you want to catch with friends and family over dinner. We really like campfire potatoes, prefect combination of taste and texture. Loved the place will definitely visit again.
