Cafe Salkara is a new malabar style restaurant located in BTM 2nd stage inplace of Funky Punjab. The outlet can be seen vividly from outside with its open kitchen and food on display. The seating consists of wooden benches and tables. They even have a large number of snacks and sweets on display along with juices and salads. The menu is comprehensive. We tried their Banana fritter, Rice cake with coconut and jaggery and the Veg Stew with Appam. The Banana fritter was good. While the rice cake was so so and was thick in some parts. The Veg Stew with Appam wasnt upto our expectation. The stew has many vegetables like beans, potato, carrots and cauliflower. The Appam was soft and thick from the center.The Verdict:Taste – 6/10Ambiance – 6/10Service – 6/10Value for Money – 7/10Overall, a decent place to try food from Kerala. rohitdassani.com
