A new Darshini place in Jayanagar. We went quite late for Breakfast on a weekend at around 11 am. Four or five other customers were there.The stand and eat Darshini’s ambience doesn’t matter at all and the food quality is what brings people back to these eateries. Manjanna special item is the Salem Idly which is a thatte Idly that is placed on melting butter on the dose pan. It was very soft and fluffy and then they top it up with chopped onions and a generous dose of Podi. It was Lip smacking good with its composition more of rice like the Tamil Nadu style idlis.Then we ordered the Podi Plain Dose which was made very crisp and tasted good along with the coconut chutney.Only disappointment was that the tomato chutney got over by that time.Pick of the meal – Salem IdlyThe Podi is extra special here which gives you a home-made feel.Cost – very light on the pocket. 50 rs for both the items.

It’s not your regular standard darshini fare. Stand out stuff here is the salem idli or butter idli. Where a idli is tossed in the tava with butter. And all dishes served with their two signature chutneys. Happy smiling faces. And that warmth Jayanagar is known for. They’ve pushed their dosas all the way from open masala or Mysore to bath. Which is dosa with lemon rice. Many throng here for the last one. I stuck to Mysore and loved it. And the butter idlis.

It is a small place located very close to the famous cool joint in jayanagar. They serve basic south indian breakfast menu at really pocket friendly prices. The idli first of all was very different from all the other places which are following the thatte idli style. It had visible steamed rava grains on idli which was the one of the oldest type of the idlis served in bangalore. The vada was very crispy, almost matching to the level fo crispiness of MTR and dosa was very mild and soft and had good flavours. Overall It was a great experience those staying in and around jayanagar is a must visit
Located in centre of jayanagar 4th block, a small hotel but yummiest food comets out of the kitchen . Small seating area but mostly standing but worth eating ..tried masala dose ,lemon rice , pulao and shavige bath and vada .. every item was just yummy .. a must try place .

Heard a lot about this place Salem idly n it’s worth the hype, the idly is soft unlike other places n the gun powder gives a unique flavorAlso tried their masala dosa which was also good perfectly crispy which I personally found in very less places in BangaloreTry to go before 10 here as the idly tends to over quickly
