Go here for some delicious typical Bengali food. This is a small place which can roughly fit about 10-15 people in one seating. The few specials of the day are mentioned on the board or you could just as them, if I’m not wrong, most of the specials keep changing every day. The staff are very courteous and the food does not take much time to reach your table. I don’t want to talk about the hygiene and ambience of this place, so go here if you are only interested in delicious authentic Bengali food in CV Raman Nagar. We had Veg Thali, Prawns malai curry and Fish cutlet. I want to first talk about the Prawans malai curry as that was my most favourite dish and I would highly recommend this dish. It was cooked in a coconut curry and the prawns are soft, but mind you they are cooked along with their shell. In the veg meals, you get rice, Sukhto, Dhokar Dalna, Begun malai curry and Pappad, all these very well cooked and it is was delightful. Talking about the fish cutlet, the fish that was used was Basa fish. I absolutely liked this, it was crisp from the outside and super soft from the inside; this could be a good starter.Overall I loved the experience, if you could turn a blind eye towards the ambience, the food here is absolutely delightful. I would like to give the -Food – 4/5Ambience – 2/5Service – 3/5P.S. : The total bill was about ₹475/-
If you crave for a typical home made bangali meal, then you should definitely try out this place. Very small and shabby place to go and dine. Ordering is recommended. The price for which they offer food is incredible. If in an around CV Raman nagr, then they only deliver food. One suggestion, please start accepting other payment options other than cash while delivering.
Snacks are really good. This place is one such in bangalore which offers the taste of roadside kolkata snacks.Rolls, Moglai Porota, Egg devil, Veg chop, Fish fry, Fish finger, chicken pakora, etc all carries the signature kolkata taste and smell. Prices are also pocket friendly.
I generally go for home delivery from this restaurant as I stay near by. They provide authentic Bengali food. Price to quantity ratio is very good. You can have food from this place as daily meal. It’s better to have food here, than wasting money on most of the Bengali fine done restaurants nearby
Pocket friendly and average tasted good not authentic Bengali. Not too rich food also. You can try their mutton curry and also the paturi and chicken biriyani also.
Well this is absolutely an authentic Bengali restaurant delivering the middle class bengali dishes to regular office goers like us. The place is small but the service is hospitable. Given it’s price range, the quality and taste of food provided is much superior and also there is variety. It tastes just as it would have tasted in a similar situation back on Kolkata. Thank you and we wish to enjoy your service even more.
