Decent place to sit down for Andhra meals. The money is worthy for service and quantity & quality of food served. Had a Andhra meal with chicken curry . Didn’t feel awkward to sit around a lame decor and ambience.
Raj restaurant off Avenue Road, is one of the better Andhra restaurants in the area. It serves some excellent mutton biryani and good Andhra meals. Their chilli chicken is another dish worth trying. But what really had our undivided attention, was this peanut-onion chutney available on every table’s condiment tray. It was absolutely moreish, and more than made up for the lack of gonghura pickle!
Let me start this review straightaway with the great part, which is :The food!!. For a huge lover of Andhra cuisine and an even huger lover of all dishes chicken , this place certainly hits the middle of the sweet spot. I went for the Hyderabadi Chicken Biriyani , the chicken kababs and the chili chicken ( Yes, I love chicken and want to marry chicken if possible ).All the items were superb , but pride of the place goes to the Hyderabadi Chicken Biriyani. It is very difficult to get the right flavor of Hyderabadi biriyani , but this place had just the right spice level and flavor and aroma for their biriyani. Just writing about it makes my mouth water and get a craving to go there right now.The place was clean and had quick , workman-like service. The pricing was reasonable , with my meal coming to about Rs 450 in total. Can’t wait to try out their Chicken Kshatriya next time . A must-visit if you are a hard core fan of Andhra cuisine or basically non-vegeterian food
killer andhra style biryani and chilli chicken. one of the best chutney pudis i’ve had – that with hot rice and ghee was heavenly. this reasonably priced, no frills place is an excellent choice for people who’re in the area. but it is also worth going all the way just for the food.
Though had passed by this place innumerable times, never had visited this place until a friend suggested this place. This place which is situated on Avenue road within few metres from Mysore bank circle is more like a mess than a restaurant which serves some authentic Andhra cuisine. Finding parking even for two wheeler is difficult. Almost all the items are tasty and delicious. The food here is reasonably priced and service is quick.
