Quantity is very small, not as per images shown in there menu. Staff very rude, did not have manager’s or owner ph no for complain. Definitely not recommend no value for money. Ordered green fry they gave dal fry with some leaves n only one egg. Below are images of menu ordered n order received.
We visited VR Bengaluru a few days back to watch a movie. After the movie, we decided to have an evening supper in the mall itself and went straight to the food court. While we strolling the food court to decide on what to order, we came across this interesting restaurant called ‘Captain Egg’ (which we were told had very recently opened). When we were looking at the menu, we realized that the restaurant specialized in Egg delicacies and this was the first ‘Captain Egg’ outlet in Bengaluru, though they have presence in some other cities across India as well. With a vision to create a brand that acts as a mediator between vegetarians & non-vegetarians, the chain has a vision to specialize in the Eggy path which is full of appetite and indulgence of flavors. The menu is specially designed by their own measured spices and fresh hand-picked ingredients, created in such a way that there is something to satiate every palate. One cannot miss noticing the blend of Indian & Oriental cuisines specially created from the world wide travelling & culinary skills of the Head Chef ‘Akshat Parihar’. To begin with, we ordered the ‘Egg Noodle Soup’ & ‘Exotic Egg Drop Soup’. Egg Noodle Soup was a flavorful pot of exotic flavors and & tangy oriental spices loaded with light noodles and veggies, while Exotic Egg Drop Soup was a thin light egg soup with Egg White lightly dropped and mixed with exotic flavors. This was followed with an order of ‘Egg Exotic Ceaser Salad’ which comprised of crunchy fresh lettuce & exotic vegetables seasoned with pickled olives. We were also very tempted to order the ‘Classic Egg Curry’, which was indeed very delicious and certainly the best Egg Curry I have had till date. The chef told us that they make the curry for the dish in clay oven (through slow heating) and the ingredients comprise of selected Indian slipces infused with light crisp Eggs and lime fresh tossed Onion Rings, we could definitely feel the richness of Indian spices like garlic, ginger, curry leaves, clove, cummins etc. ‘The Poached Egg Benedict’ was the next dish we ordered, partly also because of its unique name & display picture on the menu. It is indeed a very healthy option with base of brown bread toast, assorted veggies & light folded poached Eggs, accompanied with herbed spinach crown on top. We ended our ‘Captain Egg’ journey with their healthy range of protein shakes. We ordered the chocolate protein shake and the mango-flavored protein shake & both were very nice. We loved the place and would definitely recommend a visit, for an Eggy gourmet experience that you would remain in your hearts forever.
What do you do when you are in VR Mall and craving tasty yet healthy food? Head to Captain Egg. What a place and such a welcome addition to the foodcourt. I am a fitness freak and I loved everything here. I totally recommend it as its not just healthy but also tasty. Tried the mango and chocolate protein shake with egg and trust me it’s a delightful drink.Try the egg noodle soup and you will feel all your senses clear. It is delectable. As for the food, don’t miss the Egg Dum Biryani and the Andhra style fried rice. My personal favourite there was the Australian fry and the Classic egg curry. I will surely head back to try everything else on the menu as can’t seem to get enough of it. An awesome place !!!
Paradise for egg lovers my god they have all egg menu. You should try their Australian fry and Classic Egg curry for sure.Situated in Food court of VR Mall so hygienically they are good. Serving size enough for 2. Plating and garnish was awesome.Bon Appetit Chef BB chefbb.in
Captain egg newly started in VR mall at Whitefield.Eating healthy at restaurants is quite difficult task.Captain egg is like mine place for people like me, who routinely exercises.Egg is Truly known for its nutrition value having larger amount of protein among the foods.Imagine every dish prepared out of egg even the shakes are prepared from eggs, yes you heard it right, Captain egg the name itself indicates that it lives by the tag. Here every single dish is prepared from egg.What I tried here :-1) AUSTRALIAN FRY :- This my god was heavenly tasted, just amazing. The egg masala type, the flavour of coriander was taking it to another level. The buttery and cheesy masala with pav (buns) was to crave for, anytime of the day.2) Poached egg Benedict :- Another healthy option where you get brown bread with poached egg with spinach very healthy right.3) Classic egg curry :- A crisp fried egg with masala was tasted good.4) Egg noodles soup :- This was lightly loaded with veggies and noodles.5) Capra egg salad :- Veggies with egg and citrus cream was a light snack type.6) chocolate shake :- This was done with egg protein powder.This place is ALWAYS a go to place specially for that Australian fry.
