Located on the prime 100 Ft Road, this place is quite hard to miss. The main highlight of this place is that it’s Watson’s on the weekdays and Doubles down as Puma Shuffle on the Weekends which is one of the most innovative concepts we have ever seen. Apparently it is the first of it’s kind in the country so for this alone we certainly think you should check it out. The entire place transforms when it makes the transition from Watson’s to Puma Shuffle and back.BeveragesHighlights: Jamming on the Ice, Suede Pineapple Curry and Nova SourOther ordered items: Liquid Cell and Defy TimeThe Jamming on the Ice was a refreshing Vodka Popsicle perfect for the hot summer afternoon. The Pineapple based Cocktail was quite interesting and the Curry Leaves shone through the entire way. The Nova Sour was a classic take on the Whiskey Sour and something we absolutely loved. The Liquid Cell was a little too strong for our liking as we felt the balance of the entire beverage was slightly off with overpowering elements. The exact same thing could be said about the Defy Time as well.Bar BitesHighlights: Honey Glazed Tofu, Crispy Lotus Stem, Thai Golgappa VegOther Ordered Items: Farm Fresh Salad, Greek Pasta SaladThe Tofu was hand down the highlight of the meal. The on the Tofu which was marinated with Coconut Milk made us devour every last morsel of this one. The Crispy Lotus Stem had a great balance between being Crispy and Chewy at the same time. We absolutely loved the spice level on this one. The Gol Gappa was a very unique dish and is something which would only appeal to you if you are a fan of Thai flavours. But with that being said we absolutely loved this one.The Farm Fresh Greek Salad was fairly average as we felt it had too much Feta which gave it an overpowering salty taste to the pallette which is not something we felt was needed in a salad. The Greek Pasta Salad was something which was slightly bland and required more dressing to bring out the taste of multiple elements of this salad especially considering there was Pasta in this dish.DessertHighlights: Brownie CheesecakeWe were told that their Brownie Cheesecake was something we had to try. The fudginess of the Brownie absolutely blew us away and the layer of Cream Cheese cut through perfectly with the sweetness of the Brownie. This is certainly something we would recommend all of you to try.Overall VerdictConsidering this place is meant to be a party location, we think they have soon great food and beverages and some even better ambience. The overall vibe which you get from this place is breathtaking considering the different zones they have in this place. Even their outdoor seating is something which is well thought off and certainly something which a lot of places lack. We certainly would recommend all of you to try out this place to truly experience what we have written about.Food: 4/5Price: 4/5Service: 4.5/5Ambience: 5/5NEW MENU UPDATEOne of the craziest ambiences in Bangalore, Watsons, a casual lunch/ diner destination on the weekdays is transformed into a night time pub called Puma Shuffle on the weekends. The entire system, consisting of pulleys and detachable lights can be set up by the management in under two hours. Conversion might be stressful, but the dual use of the area is astonishing and underrated. The new menu has some stars and a few winners that you have want to add to the regular assortment of fries and nachos you order each time!DrinksMUST Haves: Ginger Drama, Mrs Hudson MargaritaThe Ginger Drama, made with a base of Smirnoff and strong ginger flavours, is a stronger ginger ale with honey. If you like ginger, this is the drink for you.On the other hand, with the new wave of spicy cocktails, the jalapeno based Mrs Hudson Margarita lives upto its old fashioned name. The brine does not overpower the drink and the tequila goes surprisingly well with the jalapeno and limeOther Items: Tamarind Tales, Smooth CriminalThe Tamarind Tales, made of Orange Liqueur and Imli, was too strong for any of our taste. Maybe adding larger doses of the mango or other citric sweeteners may do the trick. We also tried the Smooth Criminal, a gin based fruity cocktail, and though we don’t have any complaints, it wasn’t a star. We would still recommend the drink if you just want a casual cocktail without it being EXTRA.AppetisersMUST Haves: Vegetable Momos, Mushroom Paprika, Achari paneer TikkaWatsons Wings, Spicy Smoked Nut Chicken, Lankan Spicy Fish Balls, Watsons special Crunchy Shrimp, Paprika Chicken PizzaWe’ll break down this part of the review according to vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. We absolutely LOVED the Lankan Spicy Fish Balls, with its crispy outer crumb coating, and the soft and flavourful fish. The Curry Mayonnaise with the tuna is pairing we stand by. The Spicy smoked Nut Chicken and the Watsons Special Crunchy Shrimp were winners, from presentation to palate. Great bar snacks that fill you up. Finally we also liked the cheesy and indulgent Chicken Paprika PizzaIn the vegetarian menu, we had some real winners. We loved the Paneer Tikka, with its spicy Achari finish and soft inner texture. The Mushroom Paprika is an absolute winner, with herb and butter sautéed button mushrooms, topped with cheese. The dish is well prepared and makes for a great appetiser. And while the vegetable Momos could have a slightly spicier filling, it would definitely satisfy your dumpling craving.Other Items: Sticky chilli pork ribs, Kerala Beef Fry, Chicken Taco, Spice Veg in Lettuce CupsThe Chicken tacos were too plain for our liking, missing a spicy or citric element and the taco shell itself could be proofed more. The filing itself would’ve been better if an acidic element could be added. The Kerala chilli pork ribs were a bit too fatty and the glaze overtook any pork flavour that could’ve come through. While the presentation was nice we would’ve loved a heartier flavour to shine through. We also love the idea of the spicy veg Lettuce cups, but the execution fell short by a large margin. The soya was bland and did not live up to the contrast you would except from something wrapped in a layer of lettuceThe new menu brings out some winners that can be added to your regulars, like the paprika Mushroom and the Watsons special Crunchy Shrimp. The fun ambience and wall art, accompanied with the board games and UNO cards can make for a great evening with your regular gangs.Food: 4/5Ambiance: 5/5 Service: 3.5/5Overall: 4/5
