In one word, most hopeless food, ordered supreme veg. thali for Rs 200, quantity, not enough for 1 person, taste dal makhni – thin like water , they should call it dal paani wali, Paneer – three tiny peices in watery gravy, no taste at all, better avoid this place
I ordered the food at 2AM. Food was warm. Perfectly cooked rice. Good Quality. Along with a hand-written note from the restaurant making the experience of receiving food delightful.
Really they are serving good quality food. I have been eating food here from it’s 2nd day of opening and usually eat veg thali i.e awesome. Will try more options in future. Keep serving the same quality food in future also
Thank you for the lovely note !!Good to see that my preferences have been taken care of. There is scope for improvement in food. A lemon along with the onions could’ve been better!! Loved the vinegar dipped onions btw!! The loose packaging spilled the raita across the chicken and daal makhni. Daal Makhani was really good !!Cheers to the team, wish to order other stuffs to try out again !!
Great food. Must try Dal Makhani. Prompt service. Genuine taste of Punjab. Tried special veg thali today. Look forward to trying non veg shortly
Amritsar is the land of food. Unfortunately, this food mecca of Great Punjab has been somewhat underrepresented in Electronic City, until now. Punjab Calling boats chefs from its namesake state and it shows.Mostly a delivery restaurant, Punjab Calling also has a few tables for those who would like to have some grub at its location. The minute you get the food delivered, you can smell the fresh aromas of a variety of spices. I highly recommend the Paneer Lababdaar. A decadent dish, this meal gets topped off with some fresh cream and herbs. Some garlic naan on the side goes perfectly with this curry. As for Dal, the Dal Makhani is awesome. Even though this dal is extremely rich, it doesn’t look and feel oily. It shows the effort taken in cooking the starch of the dal. Every meal gets served with some fresh mint-coriander chutney and pickled baby onions on the side. What I absolutely loved about Punjab Calling is the purpose of its existence. The owner of the restaurant wanted to bring great Amritsari food to Electronic City. Starting a restaurant with a beautiful motive can lead to great things.I can see myself ordering from this place on every lazy weekend. Hopefully, in the future, this delivery place gets to expand and start serving amazing Amritsari Aloo Kulchas and Lassi.
