Just another south indian restaurant with nothing special. Seriously nothing special. It has rush beacause of its locality not because of it’s taste. Seating arrangements and all are good but so is the price. Dosa was oily and idli was bit unsoft. Visit if u have no other option 🙂
Kamat is a very prominent name in the restaurant business in karnataka and they have spread in many places . They are know for their traditional maintenance of their hotel and its a perfect example of how old hotels in Karnataka look. I went there and took parcel which had paneer butter masala, chapatis and fried rice. All the three items very really good. But this place is more suitable for having south indian dishes and enjoying the authentic kannada flavors
Kamat is one of my favourite restaurants. I’ve spent most of my childhood going to the Kamat in Hyderabad. The ambience wasn’t that great. The tables weren’t clean at all. But the service was great. I ordered a special coffee and a plate of vada. Their vada is very crispy. The coffee was excellent, good roast and very less sugar.Food – 4Ambience – 2Service – 3.5
On our road trip to ooty, Mysore, this was our first stop for breakfast.Let me start with ambience. Even before entering this place, you’ll get a feel of typical village type restaurant. The staff will be dressed in dhoti, kurta. The seating arrangement looks like you’re in someone’s home. Food is prepared in kitchen and you’re enjoying it in lawn, corridors, etc.Staff is very polite and respectful. Service is better than high end restaurants.Coming to the main topic, food. After eating food here, it will make you feel like having some homemade food. It’s that delicious.We had dosas, idlies, vada. I must say their idly is very different. It’s wrapped in banana leaf. You will see that in my pic uploaded. It’s very soft and has a unique flavour.The toilets are also well maintained. Which was surpassing to me, because in my entire trip, I didn’t see restaurants with decent toilets.If you’re anywhere near this restaurant, please do visit this place. It’s definitely in my places to go to for breakfast during road trips to Ooty.
I always visit this hotel when I stay near Majestic even though I’m not satisfied. I only visit this hotel to fill my tummy. The place is bit unclean and I recommend you to sit in A/C room. I’m only satisfied with their service. Food is average.
I went there while going in bangalore darshan, its a small place but pretty much crowded.Its famous for its jowar roti which being a north indian did not impress me much.I took a south indian thali, food was average.Pocket friendly. Not much to say about this place.
