Hotel Goldfinch Express, Banjara D’lite will always feature on the top of our list when it comes to top notch seafood in the city. Fresh, delicious, and spicy seafood, and efficient and polite staff. Good hospitality by F&B Manager Miraj and delecious signature dishes by Exe Chef Akthar Khan. Do try their tangy chilly Fish manchurian and their various butter garlic and chilly offerings as well. A good value for money restaurant.
Banjara has garnered quite a name for itself on the culinary scene in Bangalore for over a few years and needs no introduction. Housed at their recently launched property-Goldfinch Express in Ganganagar, Banjara Dlite brings the best of all worlds with their unique dishes and twists to some popular dishes. I reminisced my earlier experience with Banjara Melting Pot and Other restaurants like Sanadige from the chain. With every bite, I relished my memory and loved the new presentation and twists to some old time favourites.I started with their very unique and extremely palatable Nugekai Rasa which is Drumstick Soup which totally took me by surprise with its unique flavours and aroma. The Mamasa Menasina Rasa was another compensated my cravings for meat.Their Salads are definitely the next best thing on the menu with the Okra Salad taking the crown although the Waldord Salad With Apple and Walnut creates a good impression as well. The Non vegetarian starters section comprised of the unmissable Prawns Ghee Roast which undoubtedly was my favourite dish of the evening and the Angara Chicken Tikka which satiated every meat lover’s craving. The Pomphret Rava Fry is my ultimate decadence and would definitely go back to try again real soon. The Paneer Shikanji and Baby Corn Butter Garlic were our Vegetarian selection and definitely adorned the unique twist of this unique restaurant. The Mains comprised of a very delectable Mangalore Fish Curry with Neer dose and Chicken Biryani with Kadhai Paneer and Dal Tadka served with Indian breads. I was very happy with every dish and was able to enjoy the flavour of each of these dishes. The desserts were simple yet served with a lot of candere for Rasmalai and Chocolate Mud Pie, the latter being my favourite with its use of dark chocolate. A thoroughly enjoyed meal with friends and outstanding service by their staff added to my delightful experience for the evening.
