This place serves South Indian breakfast items and veg meals. The staff is courteous and give a quick service. Have tried their veg meal which was equivalent to a South Indian thali with a smorgasbord of south curries,rice and masala papad. The taste was good and all curries were properly cooked without any extra oil floating on the top. This time I tried their butter masala dosa and loved it. It was crunchy,cooked aptly served with coconut chutney having thick consistency and full flavours.
Breakfast House is located in the heart of Whitefield(right across Vydehi Hospital) and is easily accessible from most of the IT offices.Inspite of having seen this place numerous times, i had never been here untill this Monday. A late breakfast craving and laziness to drive any further away from my office brought me here with a friend.The restaurant was sparsely occupied and is a self service one like most others of this type. We ordered for 2 Rava Dosas. Though the size of the dosa was small, the chutneys provided almost made up for it. Especially the tomato chutney (if i am not mistaken) was kickass.Since the dosa couldn’t satiate our hunger, we ordered a chocolate pastry from the Just Bake located inside the restaurant premises. The pastry was just fine.I have eaten at places which offer better value for money but that chutney did manage to salvage some part of the rating.
An excellent place for a good simple but affordable authentic Andhra thali for lunch.Have visited this place many times.They serve decent breakfast dishes which have a very Andhra taste and not the Udupi which is quite common in south Indian breakfast joints in Bangalore
I landed up in this place looking for some tasty south Indian breakfast, unfortunately the food is ordinary like most places in vicinity but prices are double. bimmers.in
We tried dosas, uthappam, rava idly, vada, mysore bhajji and normal idly. Only vada and mysore bhajji was ok, rest everything was pathetic. Dosas and uttapam were too oily and not cooked properly. Buttermilk and filter coffee was also tasteless.
Breakfast house is is my go to place if I get bored of food options @ office. It is a no frills casual dining place. I can vouch for their south Indian thali meals (Andhra style) which comes with curries, fries, pappu, podi apart from regular dishes. I am a big fan of their fried rice.
I ate combo comprising of plain dosa idli and vada.I loved the dosa although idli and vada were just okay.Filter coffee tasted really bad.
