Had visited this place along with the team dinner for a client who was part of the Atos Gold Program.Apart from the mosquitoes, just 2 beer options was disappointing.

Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Bengaluru, in Whitefield (Formerly Alila Bangalore Hotel and Residence). Under the new management IHG – Intercontinental Hotel Group, this boutique hotel has been given a new look and feel. And with the new management taking over, it was evident all around, from the greeting at the lobby to the refreshment served,so much attention to detail. Some of us lucky bloggers got invited to a tête-à-tête with the GM of Holiday Inn Bhawna Verma and Mayak Uniyal and other F&B team. I have to say I left feel sated and so relaxed.Tiffin Room is an all-day dining restaurant, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The atmosphere boasts of bright and spacious yet very modern interior, more so colonial- style featuring a new la carte and buffet menu. The in-house guests enjoy a 24hour service. The kitchen is now lead by Executive Chef Shibiraj Saha, who left no stone unturned with his new menu launch. It was Crème de la crème dishes one after the other, as you can see below via the gallery. As tempting as the images are the taste was impeccable and exquisite, just mind blowing. I love food but this was by far the best meal I had. It was a gourmet meal infused with both Indian and Continental take on food preparation.Welcome Drink – The drink served was Aam Panna made from raw mangoes, the black salt added to the mouth of the glass made it sweet and sour and burst of flavours from mint infused in it was super tasty. We were told by Bhawna, the GM, that the mangoes used were fresh from the tree in the backyard of the hotel.Amuse Bouche – Baked Kottimber Vadi – I am still struggling my way to pronounce this dish, but the different species used in preparation were just teasing my taste buds. It is a vegetarian starter but had a more non vegetarian flavour to it. It just vanished off the plate in bite. Starters – Steamed Money Bag, Konu Ularthiyathu served in Spoon & Cheese Kurkuri – This was just icing on the cake, the presentation and the taste was so exquisite, I just do not have any complaints.• Steamed Money Bag – Vegetarian dim sum, served in the broth the vegetables were cooked in, this was just juicy and succulent.• Konu Ularthiyathu again a tongue twister, but the mushrooms infused with beautiful spices and the crispy edible spoon was just to die for, it is a puff pastry and mushroom filling on top. Just loved the creativity here, if I could I would have asked for more helping. Greedy glut that I am.• Cheese Kurkuri – Cheesy spring rolls served in a chill dip, not too sweet not to spicy. All of the ingredients were just too tempting to stop. I had licked the platter clean.Soup – Tengapal Charu served in surprise I just am left at awe with the imagination and ingredients used in this soup. They say that modern restaurants cannot do away with this simple dish. This was a definite surprised soup indeed, where imagination and ingenuity as you can see go hand-in-hand. The soup was served in an in-house baked bread, which is meant to be consumed at the end if one desires. That thought made me gulp my soup so fast. From my eyes to the taste buds all the senses were awakened. It was foodgasms till the end. The delicious gravy based broth added was enjoyed by all to the max, we ended up eating the entire bowl. So crispy on the outside and never got soggy till the end. The beautiful texture of the soup was so rich and tasty. Chef Shirabji really out did himself with this dish. Definitely not to be missed by anyone.Main course – Makhamali Kofta with Vegetable Dahlia (Veg) and Murgh Wazidwali with Saffron Pulao (Non-veg) I chose the non-vegetarian option. The fragrant tomato puree had a punch to it and accompanied the stuffed chicken perfectly, however, I felt the chicken a bit too dry for my liking, which was soon put to rest as more sauce was served on the side. The Pulao on the other had was cooked to perfection and was so tasty on its own too, the hint of saffron flavour was just right.Dessert – Anarkali in chocolate cup, Ele Ada, Lava Cake – For sweet tooth lovers, this is just what the doctor ordered, look no further. This platter was perfect way to end the meal.• The Lava cake, was so gorgeous and perfect to the last bite. The hot chocolate oozy out as I tried to scoop it before it spread across my plate. • The Anarkali in chocolate cup was yummy. I am a Mangalorean and we cook up something similar to this, it was like steamed rice pudding.• Ele Ada is Gulab Jamum – with condensed milk filling. The chef had prepared the dessert to my liking, not too sweet just the right amount of sweetness to all the three. The Tiffin Room, will satisfy your sweet tooth with the variety of different dessert, pastries and cakes. The Chef and his team, just out did themselves in terms of standard and presentation. If you plan to visit Tiffin Room I highly recommend the soup – Tengapal Charu.I have to give top marks to the lovely team. I felt at home and so relaxed and the food was not rushed to us. The chef took care to prepare an extra dish of everything, so that us bloggers could get some good clicks of the wonderful dishes he had prepared. And again, I am still at awe for being treated more than just a blogger visiting or reviewing the food. Can’t wait to go back to try out some of the other dishes on offer.xoxoDeena Pinto#SkinnyGirlDiariez© 2016, Skinnygirldiariez.com. All rights reserved. Had a quick quite dinner at the Tiffin have been at this place for dinner when it was Alila.Ordered the dal makhani this was good but not the best dal I have had, and the ordered paneer Khadhai this was best ever Kadhai paneer I have had in ages. The breads / nan and paratha was the best crisp and delicious. And great with the mains. For desert we ordered the apple pie and ice cream this was not good and had to be returned.

This surely is Bangalore’s best kept secret. We have been visiting this place from Alila Hotel days. Few knows that there is a stunning poolside restaurant on the terrace. Ambience: 5/5Service : 5/5Food : 4/5Price : 3/5Very romantic place on top, usually very windy and a great setting. Staff always over obliging to get anything outside the menu. Great food , lovely hotel.Tip : Go for the Kebabs and they make some great cocktails.

Amazing at pool side. We usually plans parties at Alila and it is always goes well. Food is average but the ambience is awesome! Pool side area provides a unique experience and the small bar at pool enriches that experience.
