Well, during my one year stint in Bangalore, I was really frenzied to taste different types of restaurants and cuisines. So one fine Sunday morning, one Telegu colleague of mine said – ‘If you want to taste true unadulterated Telegu food, come with me.’ And I obliged excitedly.It was an old, traditional, clingy building situated of the bylanes of Wilson garden with an unimpressive entrance. Inside, it was equally out-of-fashioned.We ordered two •full meal• and one plate of •chicken lollypop•. It was served with a banana leaf with different kinds of chutneys. Food was unlimited. Then I first learned about their famous •gunpowder• and how they mix it with everything in their meal. Though I could not enjoy the delicacy of the authentic Andhra style of food, to its fullest, as it was totally new to my palate, from the facial expressions of my friend and other people over the tables I become sure that they were super-enjoying the eatables.Note :• Go early whether it is lunch or dinner as the items are finished really fast.• ‎Don’t expect plush ambience and environment as it is more of a heritage eatery than a delicate restaurant.• ‎Avoid •Chinese• (‘Chinesh’ as it is written on the menu!!), as it would be the last place to order that.
I love this place. It’s food is satiating. The andhra style of cooking really fondles the tongue n u can’t stop savouring it. I love the mutton fry too. If u want home cooked food don’t bother about the ambience. Hop in and ull not be disappointed. The service however is pretty slow. Reasonable joint.

A great place to have a nice Andhra style meal. The service is good and so is the food. They serve one of the best Pappu in the city. The chicken curry is not their plus point.
Quite a regular customer for past six years,and the meals they give is their trademark .though don’t suggest the Chinese items,indian dishes are tasty and they are slightly expensive for this range of restaurants.
Srinivasa Mess Food is very good and tasty. Hyderabadi biryani taste was excellent. Cost also reasonable. Chilli chicken was nice. Nice andhra style meals.
