Initially when I moved to Bengaluru, I heard so much about Bangarpet chaat and visited the nearby one to my place however I like the taste of that Chaat out here however not very hygienic. The quality of cutlery or surrounding area needs to be maintained.
Located close to home, I enjoy having chaats here once in a while. This place is always over crowded and everyone seems to be enjoying it. The owner is very friendly and he’s been here around for years shifting from place to place. Service is super quick and no seating is available. They have a variety of chaats and I love the pani puris as the pani is very different. If your bored of eating at regular chaat places then no harm in trying this place out!
I like Bangarpet pani puris, so whenever I find any I stop by and have it. This is near to my house so I visit here often. Though I don’t take their pani as it doesn’t taste natural to me. But I love their pani puri filling of green peas. I also tasted their masala puri and samosa, they are ok. I don’t like pani puris in bangalore so this is some kind of alternative for me. Though it is different from typical pani puris but who cares as long as it tastes good.
Did not get the taste I expected. If you really want to try authentic taste of bangarpet chats then do visit the one on sulthanpalya main road in R.T. Nagar
I am amazed to see the crowd always. Today I tried it. I can’t call it tasty to my taste buds but it is dangerous. Lot of MSG (Mono sodium glutamate ) used and instead of lime they use synthetic viniger not good for intestine. As I doubt the 30% the green and colour less pani is of viniger. Eat at your own risk. Don’t habitualise your kids to this it will be additive and affect the gastronomic system
This place definitely does not serve the North Indian style chaat. So, if you prefer only the North Indian style chaat, you might not enjoy this place. For example, chats are sometimes topped with grated carrots, which you might not like. Having said that, if you are okay with this way of chaats having a distinctively southern feel, you may try. Do not expect too much of luxury, this is a one-room kind of place and usually people prefer to stand while having the chaats.
