I was introduced to this eatery a couple of months back and I have frequented this place ever since. For starters, the name of this eatery is a misnomer. I was told that this place used to be a Calcutta chat place, it was taken over by a North Indian, who is the current owner and he hasn’t bothered to change the nameof this eatery. It is a North Indian based eatery, which is open from noon till night, serves parathas, channa batura, samosa, Kachori and chats throughout the day. It’s a humble eatery, allowing upto 6 people at a time to stand and eat. There is no seating option here. The parathas here are made fresh from atta, with adequate filling, and it is one of the well made parathas I have had in Bangalore, in recent times. It’s simple and delicious. The aloo pyaz parantha and Gobi parantha are priced at 30rs each. They are served with channa and dahi. You can ask for sweetened dahi instead of plain dahi (curd). The samosas and Kachoris are nice too. Most of the items in the menu are priced at about 30rs. This is one no-frill paratha place, gets crowded in the evening. The service is quick, the cook is friendly, food is delicious, pricing is pocket friendly and I would continue to revisit as I usually do.
The place is near where I stay.. typical north Indian style chats and paratas you will get here. .they serve the food hot. But I feel the place is lil unhygienic.
This is a small place on the cmh road. Not only chaat items, their parathas are also very good. Tried alu chaat, paani puri and paratha. The taste was very good and price is also reasonable.
This place is in the main road, very close to the bus stop and yes it’s Calcutta famous chats!!!The first time I was here,I really liked all that I tasted.Their masala Puri ,pani Puri etc.But the taste has changed now ,it is not the same anymore.
One of the best street food joints I have come across. The panipuri was decent and the aloo chaat was delicious. We tried their samosas too which were also worth. A sure recommendation for a quick bite
