Me running to Rajasthani food, go to place would be this and I so totally loved the ambience it feels homely and they have so much of color going on in and around the place. Had the Thali here and it was lovely it has savory to dessert all in one your pallet can get satisfied and the jaljerra was something which I liked. The Thali can be filling and can be visited by colleagues, family and when you are hungry as well. The music is also much suiting the place. The staff are very much friendly.

Very tasty thali. Heard of this place a lot from some food lovers and it didn’t disappointed me. Courteous staffs and good rajsthani themed ambience with soothing rajsthani music . Worth a go !

NH8 is a Rajasthani themed restaurant located on 80ft road. As you enter the restaurant, you are warmly greeted by the staff. The restaurant is colourfully decorated, especially the area where you can sit down and eat. We were also given the traditional Rajasthani pagdis to wear. The staff are also dressed in vibrant attires with the colours yellow, red and green. The thali started off with jal jeera and chach (buttermilk). I found the jal jeera a bit too sour towards the end as it had a collection of chaat masala at the bottom. The buttermilk on the other hand was very well made. It had the perfect consistency, taste and was refreshing. Next came the appetisers, the kachori, spinach pakora and the tandoori Gobi. Initially when they served the pakora to my dad, it wasn’t hot. So when we requested them, they kindly obliged and got us piping hot kachoris and pakoras. The Kachori had a flaky crisp crust and a moong dal filling. It tastes really good with the sweet and sour imli chutney and the green chutney. I didn’t quite fancy the garlic chutney as it had a very overpowering pungent flavour of raw garlic. The pakora was mainly gram flour with chopped spinach. It tasted good too. The Gobi was tender and had a spicy kick to it at the end. For the main course, we were served with phulkas, bajra rotla, gud (jaggery), lots of ghee and tandoori roti. The phulkas were very well made. It was very soft. The tandoori roti was a bit rubbery in the edges. The bajra roti tasted good too with the gud and ghee. The paneer gravy had a very raw taste of the garlic and onion. It had to be sautéed more to remove the undercooked flavour. The bhindi was very tasty. It wasn’t over cooked or gummy, it was just right. The rajasthani kadhi was tangy while the Jodhpuri gatte on the other hand was mild and paired well with the ghee rice. There was also ghee rice and khichdi. The khichdi was served with lots of ghee. It was subtly flavoured with saunf and tasted lovely. Among the desserts, I loved the boondi rabdi. It was lip smacking. The shrikhand and moong dal halwa were okay. There was also papad and besan laddoo. On the whole, a nice experience. You get really full though. It was hard to even walk after all that ghee and hospitality! Food- 3.5/5 Service- 4.5/5 Ambience- 4/5 VFM- 4/5

Came here for lunch on Sunday. Just walking into this place feels so festive – the decorations, all the happy people and daaamn the food! They give you colorful turbans as part of the experience.Every dish they serve is explained.. and Krishna & Rakesh were super sweet – they suggested the order in which we should eat the dishes and what goes better with what.. and made sure we had multiple servings of everything.. felt like we were back home.. being fed so generously. This is a MUST TRY place if you love thaalis.

Its Durga Pooja season and how could I not try the Navratri menu. It is there for limited dates and the thali caters to people who are fasting and uses satvik ingredients. Has good options, most of them potato based majorly. There was aloo laccha tokri, sabudana wada, aloo chips, jeera aloo, aloo gravy, paneer gravy, sabudana khichri, pumpkin halwa, rasmalai, shrikhand, curd, kuttu poori and lassi. The flavours were really good, in comparison to other places where I have tried the Navratri menu. Cooking with desi ghee just added charm to the whole spread. I found my joy in shrikhand, poori and halwa, simply yum!Totally worth trying, just two suggestions- 1) I wish it was less oily. 2) If they would incorporate other ingredients like raw banana for a gravy and not just potato- coz the whole thali seemed too “potatoey”. But nevertheless, flavours just stole the show.Service was courteous.Loved the experience .

The decor of the place is well done giving some authentic Rajasthani feel, with folk music playing in the background. Also, you could choose to sit in Rajasthani style with a baithak kind of setting or else opt for the regular chair table routine setup. Overall I would summarize the thaali as one with few hits and misses.A few of my fav picks from the whole thaali were Dahi Vada, Khichdi, Poori, aloo matar, and hot desserts. The rest of the items were average in taste. Dal Bati which is one of my favorites failed to lighten my palate. One thing which was really commendable was their hospitality. The staff was attentive and equally after everyone till they were full till their necks. I would like to mention Mr. Krishna and Mr. Rakesh who were a great host.
