Healthy places are a trend now and it’s always refreshing to find a place that puts in care and effort to bring out the best of these. Visited this restaurant few days back and was pleasantly surprised at how good the whole experience was.The decor is simple and the staff is very welcoming. They have amazing tea’s and if you are a chai person like me do give their rosemary ginger tea a go.Tried out salad with generous quantiy and then we had the ramen bowl. It was so filling and can be had as a single meal itself. My favourite dish was the scrambled tofu and honestly it tasted so good. The tofu was fresh and soft and hence it elevated the flavour of the dish. In main course my favourite was the Thai green curry, loved the fact that they didn’t even add any additional food colours. Ended with the delicious paneer kheer and strawberry cheesecake.Overall totally enjoyed it!Taste 4.5/5Ambience 4/5Service 4.5/5Value for money 4.5/5

A herbivore’s den : Fitofaga.Fitofaga is a restaurant that is located in the main busy street in HSR. And is just above Kushals fashion jewelry store in HSR.Fitofaga means herbivores in Italian or spanish language. The place is a brain child of two passionate foodie techies who chose to serve healthy, preservatives free, GSM free, no artificial flavouring used in food. That caters to Vegetarian cuisine and has few dishes in menu that are Vegan too.Very simple decor with comfortable seating. can accommodate upto 30 to 35 people at ond go. A huge glass wall or window overlooking the busy streets pf HSR. lets in enough day light during afternoon to consume minimal electricity. The menu of the place is designed complimenting the name of place Vegetarian / Vegan food.To start off we had teas here. One was ginger with lemongrass tea and ginger with rosemary tea. Both the tea were served very hot. And had very mild flavour of lemongrass or rosemary as the ginger flavour overpowered. Here ia more about the food I tried here:Veg Manchurian dry :A crispy fried balls of minced vegetables topped with a sauce – was not too crispy neither soggy. i liked it as it is diet friendly and the vegetables used ate fresh and are very finely choppedThis was followed by a sprouts and vegetable salad – fresh sprouted green grans of the day was used with a little bit of boiled corns, bell peppers and some panneer with a slight oinch of dry lemon grass powder added on. it was refreshing and light on tummy.Pente protien – a good dose of vegetarian protein for my meal – had a portion of grilled vegetable and quinoa. mildly spiced just like home made. but had good flavour in quinoa. best part was quinoa being cooked really well.Vegan thai green curry. The curry came with a portion of herbed rice.Hot bowl of thai green curry with vegetable cooked in in house preservatives free cocunut cream – was a bit less creamy and too strong taste of lemon grass – which gave a feel of home made thai curry – was perfect. no artificial colors added, no ready made coconut cream that is loaded with preservatives makes it all thr more healthy and fit friendly meal .Malai kofta curry with paratha – malai kofta was perfect and curry was thick and tasty. Parathas was thin and soft.To end the meal on a sweeter note we had eggless baked cheesecake served with grenadine syrup – perfect melt in the mouth texture. the sweetness was just apt. Am not a cheesecake kinda person but still i managed yo eat the whole serving. Super yummy cheesecake made using cream cheese that is made in house is a plus. All in a fitofaga should be your goto place gor healthy diet friendly and guiltfree food. With vegetarian , vegan and keto friendly food in their menu.

Another new place that has cropped up recently in HSR. This one however caters to the demand for healthy organic vegetarian food. They make 99% of the things in house including the ketchup and other sauces as well as something like tofu! More about the tofu later, it’s the warmth and enthusiasm with which the owners hosted us that made us love this place. That being said, the food is good too and some of the dishes will blow your mind. It has that homely feel to it, yet it is really healthy, delicious and all made fresh. The following section gives a brief overview of all the dishes that I tried:Ginger and Rosemary Tea (8.5/10) – Quite a great combination, both freshen you up in different ways. While the rosemary makes you feel that herby freshness, ginger opens up all your senses and makes you feel alive. The taste itself is really good and heartwarming, just like that first cup you get at home.Honey Garlic Tofu (9/10) – This homemade tofu is just too good. It’s nice and soft and unlike other market bought ones, the sauce even penetrated inside. Thus, it wasn’t bland inside and made for one amazing dish. A must try for all!Papa a la Huancaina (9/10) – Do not try to pronounce this, yet make sure you try this. It’s a unique dish originating from Peru. It basically has potatoes and lettuce as base topped with a spicy sauce containing cheese. The way all the the ingredients come together so well is what makes this dish unique. Potatoes bring the starch, while fresh lettuce adds that freshness and crunch to the dish. The spicy sauce adds flavour to the bland base and that richness thus balancing it overall.Mexican Cauliflower Rice (8.5/10) – This is really nice and light option, basically containing minced cauliflower. It has a few vegetables, avocado and cheese, along with basic seasoning and mild spices. Makes for a nice option for all those who are lazy to cook salads or need a keto option.Wholegrain Vegetable Khichdi (9/10) – This is probably the closest you can get to comfort food. Being the chef’s special creation, this indeed ticks all boxes. It’s made of wholegrains and has a few chopped vegetables, but the addition of the ghee and the cozy comfort of eating it warm is just unparalleled.Eggless Baked Cheesecake (9/10) – This is a completely vegetarian cheesecake, without any egg, yet it has that lovely creamy texture. It just melts in the mouth and is served with a pomegranate sauce. Not only does that make it healthy, but adds a really nice earthy flavour. It feels dense at first, but just blends so well in the mouth. Unlike other vegetarian friendly or organic places, this isn’t even exorbitantly priced. Absolutely worth trying!Overall, loved their food and how comforting it all is. Moreover, it’s not at all heavy on the pocket, and anyone can basically just walk in especially on weekends and start their day on a healthy note. instagram.com

This is an amazing place if you are looking for flavorful food with natural ingredients. Loved nutty avocado toast, broccoli paratha and baked cheesecake. Green thai curry is interesting — it was made out of homemade coconut milk, no canned products. It might not be the best thai curry you ever had but I was reminded of a great, flavorful Goan veg. curry and loved it!

This is a newly opened place in HSR , which serves healthy and fresh food.. Not only that they serve vegan food as well.. I waa quite surprised to see their elaborate , gluten free menu.. If you’re looking for a place to have healthy yet tasty food then you need to visit this place..I loved their wholegrain khichdi which served with ghee, that enhanced it’s taste.. Also loved quinoa salad, honey garlic tofu and spanakorizo..Spanakorizo is basically Greek preperation of rice with spinach and cheese cooked in vegetable broth.. This dish is full of protein and tastes so good..In dessert I loved their Baked cheesecake.. You can satisfy your sweet tooth without any guilt..Food : 5/5Ambience : 4/5Service : 5/5Value for money : 4.5/5

In a busy schedule we all look for a healthy option, so last Sunday brunch here we were. A relaxed place, smooth ambience, tiny decorative plants, soft music, great service and healthy decorative dishes will convert your lazy morning to a healthy one.Loved the ginger tea, it always works for me.Try their milk shake, it was super healthy.I love salads as a meal so i tried papa a la huancaina and vegan quinoa salad, both were delicious. On starters will definitely recommend vegan Soya tikki and honey garlic tofu. Main course are here, something amazingly beautiful. I have tried whole grain Vegetable khichdi, spanakorizo and maxican cauliflower rice. Must say best khichdi in the town, I can go again and again only for khichdi. For dessert, must try eggless backed cheesecake served with freshly made grenadine syrup. Vegan coconut n oats ball with dark chocolate syrup. It was a healthy and delicious Sunday brunch..
