I don’t understand how the other reviewers give anything less than 4 stars for this place. Is it the greatest food on the planet? No. Is it really really good food at extremely affordable prices – yes. And that’s why i give it 5 stars. Puttu and kadala for 50 bucks and I expect everyone else wants it coming with coconut cream on top of the kadala curry. Come on guys. Really good kerala food that is freshly prepared and served at super low prices. I have had their puttu kadala, tea, porotta, chicken biriyani, chicken roast, egg roast and appam. I can say everything other than the appam is really good. Appam is really dry the 2 times I have had.
It’s a small nice mallu restaurant place right near Narayana hospital hsr and they’re Biryani is all that we kept having regularly as munchies haha but it was decent enough and tasty enough 😀
Actually it’s Kerala biriyani type. If you are kerala biriyani lover then it’s ok else you may not find it that great that suits your taste. Quality of food was still good just that the taste wasn’t great.
Small place next to Narayana Hospital in HSR layout. Cannot comment on biryani but their breakfast items are a good time-pass. We discovered this place accidentally and dropped in for Kerala Style breakfast. Beware of dust due to construction activity around the location. Had Chana (black grams/Chickpeas) gravy with Semiyaa and Poori. Chana was typical Kerala style and Semiyaa quite palatable. Other items were average. Tea was good and perhaps better than food. An above avergae time pass if you have no other option.
Small but always fresh place. Been there more than once. Serves normal Kerala cuisines mainly (Not the exotic ones), like Puttu, Dosa, Porotta (Not ID kind of ready-made) which are decent for the price. Dosa – Chicken combo is highly recommended if you are there at night. Pricing is really nice, does not hit you hard. Parking will not be great problem as it is not in the main road. Not recommended for very large groups, as the place is not that big. At times, it takes some extra time to get your order served. Availability of the food you really liked the previous time is not very certain. It might not be available always. You will need to search for this place, as it is not in the main road. Always recommended for group of bachelors . I’ve never tried their Biriyani and so no comments on that
They claim they serve you authentic Thalassery/Malabar DUM biriyani, but just they don’t. They didn’t even serve a dum biriyani. It was a fried masala chicken with rice. One of the worst biriyanis I had.
