Punjabi Charchay is a small and tidy eatery run by a Punjabi family serving good North Indian dishes. If you are in or around Hoodi and are looking for a good and economical food option then this a place that’s worth considering.I am a frequent visitor to this place and have tried out a variety of food items, from starters to main courses and thalis to desserts. Here are my ratings:5/5 for Food – After tasting different items I have concluded on a list, from which I order every time I visit this place. Starter: Chicken Tikka, Tandoori Chicken, Boiled Egg Main Course: Phulka, Gobhi Kulcha, Paneer Kulcha, Palak Paneer (this item gets over fast so if you go later in the evening you might not get this), Dal Fry, Gobhi Matar, Egg Curry, and Bhindi Fry Dessert: Lassi, Butter MilkThey have a variety of veg and non-veg thalis that you can order. The thalis are wholesome and have a good spread.3/5 for Ambience – This is an eat and go kind of place, which is less of a restaurant and more of a dhaba. The reason why I like this place is that it’s clean, hygienic and brightly lit. 5/5 for Price – The place is absolutely economical. A full-course meal for two people has never been more than 500 INR for me.4/5 for Service – On an overall level the service is good. The staff is friendly and they give recommendations as well. They also have a home delivery service.Since it’s a small family-run business, sometimes you might not get a table or have to share a table with other visitors or have to wait for a long period before your order is processed. This happens especially on weekends and during late evenings, so the best bet is to visit the place as early as possible. Will I visit this place again? Yes! 🙂
