There are a few places that serve comfort as their forte, and Champaca is one among them. In a quite unique take, Champaca presents heaven for book lovers. It is a small cafe cum library, where you can sit and gorge on books on every genre you want while sipping hot coffees and relishing on delectable desserts. Or you can even take a friend along and spend hours on a heartfelt conversation. I’d personally recommend taking a seat by the window. The niche thing about this place is that you can spend an entire day with your thoughts in here, without any disturbances by poking staff. It is more like a family of book lovers, all interactive with one another. They also host several book discussions and review meets you can be a part of. All in all, Champaca is a place entirely for the feels. A little tricky to locate at first, this book lovers’ paradise will make you go back to it time and again.
Champaca:We believe that a cafe experience goes a notch higher when you are surrounded by thousands of books. We discovered this gem tucked into one of the peaceful corners of the bustling city of Bangalore.Named after popular Magnolia Champaca tree, this cafe is equally fragrant and oozes positivity like the tree.We dropped in at the cafè during for a cup of coffee, grabbed a book from their library and waited till our coffee arrived at our table. Our coffee was pretty perfect. They have a rich list of items in their menu and cannot wait to try them soon.
Very cute and original place. Quaint will limited seating. food was delicious and kitchen staff so sweet and kind. Thank you for the vegan options. Please make a vegan option with almond milk for the chai 🙂 also liked the kitty wandering around
I fell in love with Champaca the second I set my eyes on the space. It’s open, but cozy. It’s so welcoming and the sight of the neatly arranged books is a bibliophile’s paradise. It’s quiet, for a change. Honestly, I didn’t want to leave. The food and beverages are on the more expensive side and the portions are very less for what they charge, so that’s perhaps the only downside 🙁 I paid around INR 120 for a really tiny cup of macchiato that I finished in 3 sips, it was kinda disheartening. That’s the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars. Otherwise, it’s a wonderful place I’d visit everyday if I could.
It’s a beautiful place to read and chill. No music which is so rare in Bangalore. It’s a bookstore café and it’s the perfect place for me to read and eat, so this review maybe biased (wink)Ambiance : 5 stars ( I love the place)Food: 4 ( healthy and a well curated menu)Price: 3 ( it’s very expensive for the portions and the type of food they serve, I paid 200 bucks for 6 slices of potato )Would definitely go back though, just for the books and the feels.
