I can say without a doubt tht this is the best place for some really tasty and soft baos in bangalore. They make their own bread which is super soft. The ramen is also really nice. Must try! The ambience is lovely but it does get really crowded over the weekends.
This place has been in my bookmarks for a while now. I finally got to visit this place on a busy Saturday, it was actually crowded. It attracts a lot of crowd so it’s better to book a table. I absolutely loved the food. The spinach and chicken dumplings were delicious and the ramen was perfect for the weather. It is a little expensive but worth every penny. Had a great experience here at fatty bao.
This place certainly lives up to the hype. There was an issue with our reservation but the manager was super helpful and cleared it up. The place is very busy so reservations are a must if you don’t want to wait for a long time. The food is very good, the service is prompt and their recommendations certainly turned out right. I also liked that the ambience is cosy and was great for long conversations without loud music blaring through the speakers. We tried the bao, sushi, ramens and noodles. They were all fantastic. Had no space for dessert but was persuaded by our server to try their signature dish and I am glad we didn’t miss it.Awesome lunching experience.
We visited on a weekday. The staff was courteous and showed us to our seats. We ordered bao, sushi, dimsums, KFC. We ordered two baos, duck bao and pulled pork bao of which the duck one was my favorite. Ordered salmon sushi, you can order a 4 pieces plate or 8 pieces plate. It was served with wasabi and soy sauce. It was yum. We also ordered a dimsum and Korean fried chicken which was kinda spicy. Overall it was extremely satisfying and I will definitely go back for the bao
Went there on a sunday lunch with family, made a 2:30 appointment but reached late due to bangalore traffic :(The kitchen closes at 3:00pm which was not informed to us while making the reservation though, so they made us order ahead and arranged for table after much convincing.Because of this chaos we ordered in a hurry not actually thinking much, which probably led to some bad food choices. Following is what we tried.1. Mushroom and bellpepper Bao – This had tons of sauce, too salty and flavored mayonnaise on top !! Not at all what was expected and disappointing.2. Kimmari – Its exactly what the menu says, the rolls were coated in some batter and was crispy, a little too salty for my taste but my MUM enjoyed it.3. Prawn and sesame toast – Approved by Mom again :)4. Chilli and basil chicken fried rice – it was plain old fried rice , not too fancy in terms of taste or presentation.5. Exotic Mushroom Ramen – This was the only item that tasted some what close to authenticity – though there was a buttery taste to it instead of traditional sesame /chilly oil. The server/waiter was kind enough to distribute it to two portions.Food – 3.0/5Ambiance – 3.0/5Service -4.0/5Pricing – 3.0-/5After reading the reviews on zomato of people claiming/arguing food is authentic, we went but it was disappointment and it was another indiansed version of asian cuisine else who serves asian food with mayonnaise. None of the sauces stood out and were too salty, the crowd was very loud, the only plus point was servers/ staff who went out of their way to accommodate us. Will rather give this place a miss for lack of authenticity
Nice place. Difficult to get reservations on a Sunday evening. We just felt like having some Asian food, came across this place. Heard a lot about before and it didn’t dissapoint. We ordered a some Sangria, they serve only wine. Although I would love them to serve some beer as well.We ordered bao, a veg dish, the famous pork belly and sushi. Each one was well made and delicious. The table arrangements probably could be a bit better. And beer could certainly improve the overall experience 🙂
My favourite Asian restaurant in Bangalore ! Have been here quite a few times, finally writing a review. I love their open rooftop seating with the high chairs. The ambience inside is beautiful as well. My favourite thing to order is their dimsums, I love their chestnut dimsum(it’s my favourite). For mains I like ordering their bowls which are very filling, the laksa being my favourite. The service is prompt and the staff is very polite and helpful with respect to the menu. (They know what and how dishes taste like,so they guide you while taking the order keeping your preference in mind).I will definitely go back here to try more items from their menu to write a detailed review.
