I came to this place with my wife and sister and we ordered 2 fresh lime sodas. The guy told me that you can not order two things when you are 3 coming and sitting here. Also, the staff does not take the order correctly. Instead of giving us the fresh lime soda, the guy heard we ordered french fries and is serving that to us.They put a board of no smoking and they still allow people to smoke in the restaurant. The place is very dirty and they don’t even bother to clean it. I am never coming to this restaurant and will not recommend this to anyone.
Sugar and Spice is one of the places in Kalyan Nagar that is popular for quick-bites. I have been looking to visit this place from quite a few days and had it book-marked. But then I was just waiting for a right time to visit the place. That opportunity came to few days back and I finally made a visit to the place. Let me share my experience.Ambiance is chilled out where you can see lots of folks sitting and enjoying their drink or chit chatting with friends. Being situated in the corner, they have 2 entrance which is quite cool. This is a casual dining place more popular for quick-bites, so it doesn’t have any fancy seating arrangements. But still, the place is good. One thing you can notice is that the people serving food would be moving around a lot coz they have quite a few customers to cater to, especially in the evenings.Location is quite easy from Kamanahalli Main Road. Take the left after Burger King, which leads to the roads is filled with eateries. As you drive along you will find this place just before Krispy Kreme to the left side. Food and pricing are surely the most important factors making people visit this place more often. I tried their Vegetarian Burger with cheese. It was quite good as it had loads of veggies, cheese and some cream. It was grilled quite well and I enjoyed the same over a cup of tea.I also tried the Veg Burger without cheese or cream from this place. I must say that sometimes the simple burger tastes quite good. It does not seem heavy on your stomach and you can enjoy the patty along with few veggies. I think the most popular dishes at this place is what I tried and I kind of liked what I ate.The only item that was not up to the mark was the Masala Tea. It came in a glass that was quite small and it was too sweet for my liking. Ideally giving tea without sugar is a better option. But I guess in this case, it is just a tea that comes from the vending machine. Experience of having food at this place was good, but for the drinks. My rating for this place would be 3.5/5. I was quite tempted to rate it higher but then I would want to confirm the taste of the food and try few more hot/cold drinks to confirm the consistency of the taste. Food is below average. We ordered veg cutlets (just 2 pieces), iced tea and fries. Just the usual. Cutlets didn’t have ANY sort of flavour.The place is always dirty. Dust on the tables and they don’t even bother to clean it for you if you come and sit.One thing I’d like to talk about, is the service. No manners. The waiters are not polite. They just think it’s okay to shove the bill into your face while you’re still eating.Secondly, they just don’t understand what I’m trying to say/order! Which language am I supposed to communicate in?!? A place that has a lot of potential, is not able to achieve anything, due to the lethargic staff at work.
I have been here several times for their coffee. This is a popular joint among college students living in the vicinity and is mostly crowded. Mostly people take the seats outdoors during evening time, so inside is usually empty. I really like their hot chocolate and coffee. The prices are also very reasonable and staff is friendly.

This is a place which is always crowded as the outer seating area provides a good view to hangout and relax like other coffee outlets. Mainly visited by college students, it is quite a good place with reasonable price. Hot chocolate and coffees are good here. eatsandexplores.wordpress.com
