Before I moved towards the food, the best part about this hotel is that it is located at a view point and it’s just amazing to see through the window the beautiful Mangalore city while you have food. It makes it even more soothing after you gulp in the delicious food. Ordered the squid, chicken and a drink to start with. Amazing place to hang out. Wonderful time spent. Really courteous staff. Value for money. Not pricey. Good quick service. Overall a great restaurant for family and friends.

Amazing place to be at , Nice view at the top floor. Good A/C Hall on the second floor. Loved the Black Currant mocktail , Paneer Ghee roast was damn good. Chicken spring roll was nice and filled . Butter chicken was too good with the Naan.

Had been here yesterday, the service was really good & quick, ambience is nice, staff was quick to respond and suggest. The only issue was with one of the starter’s (chicken crispy) wasn’t crisp enough also was not like chicken crispy apart from that everything was good and enjoyed the meal here.

I have been to Hotel Trishna many times before my last visit . But little did I know I was ignaorant about its hidden treasures. I had been there for lunch with my family. It was empty except a couple which was much to my liking . Perfect for a farawel dinner . 1. Service : I was delighted with the way we were waited upon . My dad who generally isnt too impressed easily was happy too . The young man took our vast orders without a miss . 2. Ambience :As the pictures suggest the interiors of Cinnamon are very well done . The Hotel is on a hill and it offers a breathtaking view down the cliff if you get a table near the window . The center of the interior is a ensemble of beautiful drapes which also adorn the rest of the place. The tables were well set .3. Food : A . Soup : We tried the wine based soup for a start . It was not something we had tried so it was a good change . B. Drinks : We ordered the fruit punch , the mango and strawberry based mocktails which were done well . The chocolate based shake was the pick though.C. Starters : We tried the chicken Manchurian , the squid Butter garlic and the fish fingers .The fish fingers were amazing. The butter garlic could have been better. The chicken Manchurian was well done . We then decided to go Chinese and ordered the Chinese platter which consisted of 12 – 14 pieces of chicken done in three varieties of Chinese cuisine . We ordered rice and fish curry to end a delightful yummy lunch .4 . Time of delivery : Each dish was served on time with just 10 mins of waiting time . 5 . Cost : Rs 2200 for four with drinks .

Trishna Hotels is one of the popular hotels located on the outskirts of Mangaluru. If you have travelled by flight, then you would have definitely seen this hotel to and fro airport. Other than lodging, there are three popular hotels located in Trishna Hotels. One is Modern Dhaba, another is Cinnamon and the last one is Under the Above which is a rooftop bar and restaurant. It was a Saturday night and we wanted to treat our family to a wonderful dinner. After checking out a lot of places, we decided to go to Cinnamon. Happened to get the Manager, Mr. Vikram Singh’s number as unfortunately, the land line number was not working due to the severe rains. I booked the table just a few hours before we reached and he told me that everything would be set up at 8 PM.Once you enter Cinnamon, you will find it to be a very relaxing place. The ambiance is really soothing and the seating is also very spacious. It was super crowded that evening, but since we had booked a table; we didn’t have to worry about waiting for one.The service is quite good in Cinnamon in spite of the crowd. The waiters came immediately with the drinks/food menu. Most of the men ordered for Beer, the ladies ordered for Sweet Lime Salt and Sweet, and I stuck to my usual, a Pina Colada Mocktail. It was creamy, sweet and tasted yummy with the long list of items which were ordered that evening.Appetizers I am not much of a Soup person. If I order soup, then half of my stomach will be full, hence I like to skip the Soup, eat a few appetizers and then have room for the main course. However, some of my relatives just HAVE to order soup and that evening, some of them ordered Veg Manchow Soup, Chicken Manchow Soup and Sweet Corn Chicken Soup. Each one of the soups was piping hot when it was brought to the table. The soups were very thick. The Veg ones were filled with the usual vegetables and the chicken one had pieces of shredded chicken drowned in the broth. Just a bit of hot sauce was enough to add the extra punch to the taste.Coming back to the other appetizers, main course and desserts, this is what we had ordered:a. Crispy Vegetables – The taste was something different compared to what we normally eat in other restaurants. I think there was too much soya and chilly sauces added to the vegetables. The quantity is excessive and can be shared between 4 to 5 people. b. Drums of Heaven – This is one of my cousin’s all time favourite starter. One portion of this popular dish comes with eight pieces of chicken drumsticks which you can eat by itself, or dip in the hot chilli sauce with comes along with it.c. Baby Corn Chilly – The baby corn was cooked just right, tossed in soya sauce and loaded with green chillies and capsicum. The dish is really spicy, so please get ready to set your taste buds on fire!d. Vegetable Tawa Fry – The Vegetable Tawa Fry is another starter which can be shared between 4 to 5 people. The dish is very spicy, just like the Baby Corn Chilly. You can eat this by itself, or along with rice or even a Naan because it is loaded with masala.e. Roasted Chicken Chilly Pepper – Boneless pieces of chicken along with red, yellow and green capsicums mixed with soya sauce. f. Dhalithoi & Steamed Rice – My mom’s aunt does not eat North Indian food, so whenever we go out she normally orders this combination. The Dhalithoi tastes just like the kind we make at home!g. Tadke Wali Dal – The dhal was kind of spicy as it was tempered with onions, chillies and tomatoes. The taste was something different and not the usual Dal Tadka which we were used to eating.h. Omelette – The size of the Omelette was so huge, that 5 people could have eaten it. i. Butter Naan – One of the favourite kinds of breads which many of our family members like to eat. The Butter Naan was soft and tasted yummy with all the subzis.j. Dal Khichidi – Dal Khichidi is one of my favourite dishes. I love how the spices, dhal and rice blend together to add lots of flavour. – Definitely a dish which you should order.k. Vegetable Fried Rice – One of my cousin’s really loves to eat Vegetable Fried Rice whenever we go out for dinner. It was really good and not at all oily.l. Murg Karachi – This is a popular Pakistani chicken dish. It was red in colour and there was lots of gravy. But the taste was very sweet.m. Subzi Diwani Handi – This popular Hyderabadi dish is nothing but boiled vegetables cooked with ginger garlic paste and various masalas. Though it was spicy, it tasted just perfect with the cheese naan.n. Cheese Naan – My favourite naan of all time. I just love to eat it by itself or with Dal or Raitha. After reading about the Appetizers & Main Course, I am sure you are wondering if anyone had space for Dessert. Well, the answer is YES, especially when the dessert is Ice Cream! The following kinds of ice cream as well as Gulab Jamun were ordered mostly by the kids. One bowl of ice cream came with two scoops of the various kinds and right in the middle was a cherry to garnish it.A. Vanilla Ice CreamB. Gulab JamunC. Strawberry Ice CreamD. Butterscotch Ice CreamE. Chickoo Ice CreamF. Black Currant Ice CreamIt was a fun filled evening with lots of delicious food, chit chatting with relatives, and enjoying ourselves in the ambiance of a lovely restaurant. Compared to other outdoor type restaurants, I would prefer this one, because it’s very cosy and comfortable. The lighting is not too bright or too dim so you can see everyone at the table. The price is not too expensive. I would recommend this place for family lunches/dinners, office lunch, or just an evening out with friends or a special someone.Food: 5/5Service: 5/5Ambiance: 5/5
