This is really a bookstore with the cafe attached. One of Bangalore’s most popular stores that is known for a slew of events, something happening pretty much every weekend. The food is okay (and that’s not the point) and they serve snacks – sandwiches, fries, omelettes, coffees – that go well with browsing or munching quietly while a book reading is on.

I love Atta Galata coz it’s different. It’s a book shop, library, restaurant and even place all in one, cozy space. Menu is basic, stuff you can munch on while you work or read. They sometimes don’t have dishes that are on the menu. Coffee is good, the South Indian kind. It’s the kind of place you can go and get lost in a book, and still keep eating or drinking. Only one grouse I have is the chairs and tables are all rickety. I suspect it’s by design, but please expect a sore bottom if you want to do some serious reading there.
Atta Galata, the place envisioned by each every youngester. It is the spot to meet new people, and it has been the ground for new relationships to develop. One of the very few places where you can sit peacefully without any random music in background. This also allows you to have the best conversations. And to add on to this beautiful and soulful atmosphere, you have the most kind hearted and soft spoken people to greet and serve you with a smile always. The food and books keep you warm, and like they say books are man’s best friend. Well here its the place who will become your best friend. And amazing beverage and snacks, that adds to the time spent.What more can you ask for in the prime location in Koramangala filled with pubs and clubs, a peaceful and serene space with souls to meet.
