Hungry hippie the name says about the place. The best roof top restaurant in Koramangala with fancy seating arrangement. Ambience was well planned evenings you can spend with your friends.Food and beverage offerings was elaborate with pocket friendly pricing. The best Fish and Chips i have tried here. Usually the fish and chips is bland but they made it really yummy in taste.Peri peri Chicken skewer was well marinated and cooked to the perfection with Peri peri Seasonings.Desi Chowmein was the best dish i had at hungry hippie it was just a reminder of street food of my hometown credit goes to the chef. chefbb.in
To start with, this place offers amazing rooftop view for a hookah which is Really nice since it doesn’t smoke up the ambience.Coming to food, I tried couple of dishes and my favorite was hummus with pita bread, I would have liked a slightly thinner pita but it was alright. From the mains, I had cottage cheese steak with mashed potatoes which was really prepared well and was filling too. A thick paneer patty served with sauté veggies and potatoes, perfect!!To pair it up with, I had a green mango cooler which was very refreshing.
Being on the busy 5th block main lane, on the top floor of the building, this restaurant is tough to locate but a must visit. The ambiance is pretty cool with wooden decor. The service was quite excellent, they deliver all our orders on time despite we being a huge group. The hookahs are quite famous here, named after the cities famous for it. You get variations from mild to strong flavours. Peanut butter shake was thick and perfectly sweetened. If you are not a shakes fan, go for aam panna in the mocktails. The sour and sweet taste is just refreshing.Crispy American corn was a delight to have here. It’s my favourite appetizer and many good places mess it up but I wasn’t disappointed here. Mazze platter is a good option if you are looking for something healthy and yummy. Tomato Bruschetta was my favourite here. The subtle taste just pleases the buds.Overall a great place to hangout in Kormangla.
If you like decent food, beverages and a fun place, this is a good option. From starters like nachos, fries and tikkis to pizzas, salads and a spread of main course that includes rice, breads and a ton of options, you’ll be spoilt for choices. The overall ambience is great with great lighting, be it day or night time. Coming to the food, the choices make it difficult to order quickly. The service is a tad slow when there’s many people. The food served is plated well and not just looks delicious, tastes good as well. The quantity is enough for about two people. Be it the fries, the pizza or the pita with hummus, the food taste and quality was impressive. The beverages were top notch and are some interesting recipes that I got to try for the first time. Rice/mash with cottage cheese steak for mains alongside the pizzas made it the end for my dining and would definitely come here to try the items I missed earlier. Worth the time and money spent.
Hungry Hippie was suggested to me by a friend so I went there for lunch. The place is huge and filled with smoke. It is a typical Hookah Lounge, everyone with hookah in their hands, smoke on their lips — A HIPPIE place. Though it gets hot as the place has no centralised AC.If you are a hookah lover this place is for you. If you a food lover too this place is for you. This place gets crowded on weekends as this is located at the most popular street of Kormangala near JNC.I tried few drinks like Green Mango & mint cooler, Pan Cooler and Truffle Brownie shake. To be honest all 3 shakes stands out for me especially the former one. I loved the Green mango and mint cooler. As the noon was hot and this drink was very refreshing and it calmed me down after fighting with bangalore traffic and scorching sun. Coming to food, I had ordered Peri Peri Chicken Pizza, Mexican Fries, Desi Noodles, Citrus Salad, Cottage Cheese Steak with rice. To my surprise the food was really good because hookah lounges normally lack in food. But Hungry Hippie is a place to be if you want good hookah & sexy food. The pizza was really good, very cheesy (got few cheese pull clicks for my Inastgram), but the chicken chunks were small and less on pizza. For me Desi Noodles was the show stopper, this for all the desi Chinese lovers. And also the Cottage Cheese Steak with rice. Loved these both dishes. As many of us know, parking is a main concern in Kormangala, so be prepared to face if you are visiting on a 4 wheeler.Overall verdict:Food 4/5Ambience 4/5Service 4/5Follow my journey on Zomato & Instagram @rk.snaps.
Ambiance: 4/5Food: 4/5Service: 4.5/5If you’re a hookah lover who’s looking for new places to hangout and chill with Friends, or bae, this is a good place to check out. Since it’s a terrace setup and is open from the sides, the best time to go there is evenings or maybe days when the sun is not at it’s best. The food was decent. Some of the dishes really stood out. One such dish was the Peri Peri Chicken Pizza that I ordered. Loved it! Must try their Brownie shake! Will literally make you fall in love with it! The service is quick and the best part is the servers are trained pretty well. They’re really attentive and quick. Hard to find that in a lot of restaurants nowadays. The prices are decent too, pretty reasonable.
Went there on a Saturday evening. The place was decent crowded, a roof top ambience with fans spread over.Parking is a challange as there is no valet as such and given the crowded area, you will have to search for parking.Service is decent, and so is the food.I had a couple of dishes, one in starters and a mains. In starters I have had their chilly chicken. The chicken was well cooked and it was decent Indian style chilli chicken with enough flavours. In mains i have had their butter chicken pizza. The pizza was enough cheesy, bread was ok, it was a thin crust. Flavours of butter chicken was just ok though. A scope of improvement is always there.Liked the paninis, they were well filled with chicken.***********OVERALLFOOD. 4/5AMBIENCE. 4/5SERVICE. 3.5/5HYGIENE. 4/5PARKING. 2.5/5 ( A concern if its a 4 wheeler, decent for a 2 wheeler) akhilkohlifoodjourney.wordpress.com
