Half the dishes on the menu weren’t available. After taking the order, waiter comes back after 15 minutes to inform that a dish we ordered wasn’t available. This was after taking the order and making us wait. There are far better options in Mangalore, so you can just avoid this disaster of a place.
If you are in Mangalore and want to enjoy some good local food, that is both satisfying and easy on your wallet, then Sri Ram Bhavan at Hotel Ayodhya is the place to visit. It is quite popular for its tiffin services and ‘oota’ (‘meals’ in Kannada). They have a menu that keeps changing throughout the day, as stocks last. So you may not get an item that you’ve had before! Meals served in thalis, usually have rasam, sambar, boiled rice, couple of vegetables, majige (buttermilk) and payasam (sweet kheer) etc. This is a perfect Udupi restaurant which believes in fast service. Try the wide array of Dosas like Tuppa Dosa, Masala Dosa, Set Dosa, Neer dosa, Ragi Dosi; Idlis like Ragi idli, Kottige (Idlis steamed in jackfruit leaves), Kanchipuram Idli, Rasam Idli & other snacks like Medu vada, Uppitu, Sheera, Appams, Golibaje etc.

Ambiance is quite good and its nice as we can go with a group of friends for a usual dine in there are only few items which are good here. So think twice before you order. Never order chicken Curry’s . although you can find better tiffin items here. I would recommend you to go for having breakfast here.
As far as I know Ram bhavan and Ayodhya are the same place. Especially as this is the same menu pictures that I have seen at Ayodhya.Hence I request you to refer my review of Ayodhya which I have rated a 5.
