I had the oppurtunity to visit this place during this puja holidays. The hotel is maintained by karnataka govt & is indeed a budget friendly family oriented place. The restaurant is under hoysala but is open to both the guests of hoysala & yatrinivas. The space is huge of this restaurant so it can accommodate a large crowd. The bar & family space has been made available. I tried the following items during my short stay:-1. Veg thali- Only available during lunch time & consists of south indian staples like 1 tandoori roti, papad, sambhar dal, rasam, watery dahi,1 kheer preparation,1 bhindi sabzi,a bowl of rice & a small portion of spicy pulao(very similar to kfc’s rice). All the dishes were decent but the bhindi one was a let down. The rasam was super light & even the sambhar dal was nice to have.2. Chicken masala- 4 pcs of chicken dipped in chettinad style curry. Not so spicy yet very subtle in taste. This goes well with roti & rice.3. Alu mattar gobi- Easily one of the best veg ala-carte item on their menu. A bit on the spicier side yet ample on quantity wise. Recommended.4. Chicken friedrice- Sticky rice in shredded chicken, onion & capsicum. Quantity was sufficient for 1 person & very light in nature.5. Chicken 65(dry)- fried crispy chicken 65 in curry leaves & onions. Loved it as a starter.6. Chilli chicken- Usual kolkata style preparation but they use chicken chunks instead of big chicken ball pcs.The place is budget friendly & doesn’t charge extra tax. The service would let you down due to lack of staff but the food compensates it
