Ambience – 2/5Service – 5/5Staff Behaviour – 4/5Food – 4.25/5Value for money – 3.75/5Overall – 4/5One of the most famous places in Mysore for lunch, and it’s fame is not only limited to India. While we were there, we saw atleast a dozen foreigners, who were interested in the cuisine offered by hotel RRR of Mysore. It was extremely busy when we went there on the lunchtime of Diwali. Not only was there no parking space, people were literally queueing beside each table to mark their spots. So that as soon as the current patrons finish their lunch, they can sit there. It felt more like a crowded train than a lunch place. Accompanied with that, it was constant screeching from servers, trying to dodge through the crowd to fulfill orders. We had to wait for around 30 minutes before we got a table. Because of the crowd, they were just serving 2 things. Either a thali, or you can go for their famous biryani. We opted for biryani. We waited in line for 30 minutes, but the biryani was served to us 2 minutes after our order. The servers are used to that sort of crowd and they are extremely efficient with a pair of quick feet and ‘beni beni’ on their lips. They were curt and left as soon as the order completed.Let’s come to the food. The biryani was good, but I did not find it to be special. However, if you see the way the mutton get’s cooked, it is fall apart from the bones tender. That was incredible. The food is a little on the pricier side, but that’s just the restaurant milking how famous it is.It is a nice place to have lunch, but would I recommend waiting 30 minutes for it? Probably no. Tell me what you thought, when you visited Hotel RRR of Mysore.
Awesome tasting mutton biriyani. The veg meals are quite filling. They have ample seating with a/c section too. In the starters loved the chicken fry. They don’t have rotis and very limited veg dishes. Recommended only if you’re a non-vegetarian.
I never miss to dine here Everytime I’m in Mysore. My most favorite place for mutton biryani and their chilli chicken. They do serve some great meals as well. Every non veg starter is so delicious. They might seem less in quantity but the taste is outstanding. My forever favorite.
