Loved the ultrasoft idli with butter and sagu. It was mouthwatering, melt in mouth.The more famous sagu masala dose also I liked. Had 2 of those as it is medium size. Sagu is nice, the dosa is ultrasoft, there is different taste of something used for the fermentation? Buttermilk?Anyway, service was fast and friendly as it usually is at legendary places. We had been around 9.30 am and they had already run out Kashi Halwa. Go early if you want to try all items.
Famous Mylari hotel serving taste buds from 80 years and even today their taste of dosa’s haven’t reduced. If you love dosa, you can’t miss this place when you’re in Mysore
This is a very small place and very congested. It’s is crowded as well. But the dosa, it is worth all the wait. The dosa is so soft and it just melts into the mouth. One of the best dosa’s I have had.
Finally at this legendary place in Mysore! I just cannot stop raving how good the dose in Mylari are. These dosa are very homely which is crispy and yet very very soft. This dosa just melts in the mouth. Also they serve dose with sagu and coconut chutney which tastes heaven ❤️ One can easily have atleast 2-3 Dosa for sure.
If in Mysuru you should visit this restaurant. It has to be on the To Do list.Read an newspaper article pasted in the restaurant which mentioned its an 80 plus year old.Early this week during my stay in Mysuru this place was my fixed breakfast joint.Service provided by their staff and food the serve are really the best in town.People who like desi ghee and butter this is your den.Limited items on menu but a true value for money place.My breakfast menuPlain DosaMasala DosaIdliMylari special SweetandCoffeeBoth the Dosa and Sweet dish are highly recommended.Finding a vehicle parking space may be challenging so plan accordingly.
Finally visited this legendary outlet!It’s very rare that I give a place such a high rating but how can I not give it to this one? They’ve managed to stay true to what they do over time and it’s absolutely commendable.It’s a small place, easy to locate and luckily we found easy parking as well.We tried their masala and plain dosa along with coffee and their special sweet which was a halwa.The plain dosa, as expected was really really good, topped off with fresh butter, really great. The masala dosa was very different from what I’m used to, it wasn’t filled with the regular potatoes filling but was exceptionally delicious.The halwa was also really really good. Must visit this place, this is the original mylari and it definitely didn’t disappoint.
