We had our lunch at this restaurant on the way to Srirangapattanam. They have one more restaurant in Bangalore. Service is bit lousy and cleanliness of the place is the problem. One may certainly find food scattered below the dining table, which is not cleaned for several hours. Even tables will have food stains of earlier customers. Food quality is good but looking at the place where it is getting cooked one may not visit this place once again. Lot of scope for improvement on the cleanliness and hygiene front.
Food is okay but Hotel staff is very rude and manner less as if they don’t care for customers. I suggest not to visit this place ever. Bad experience.
Been here for lunch. The overall experience was good. They have a huge sitting area, a small shop outside that sells primarily jute stuff. The food however, was not as great as I thought it would be. The sambar tasted slightly burnt. The jolad (jowar rotti) was the best of the lot. Each one freshly made the traditional way and served and hot with butter. The next best dish was the avre (bean) gravy. More than anything, the name is so famous that people flock here for a traditional North Karnataka meal. Can visit if that’s what you’re looking for. Visitors to Mysuru – you can try the North karnataka lunch here once. Parking space is quite large too.Unlimited meals here is surely different if you are from other parts of India. Started off with unlimited jowar roti incl piece of butter and this was really good. They serve rice with buttermilk, curd, pappad, raita, brinjal gravy, peanut chutney, lentil curry, sambar, rasam. I did enjoy the food. Finally you get the banana and they do have the betel leaves – areca nut near the exit. Now this is an open restaurant (see some of the photos) . Dont expect ambience. Service is fast and when it gets crowded you need to make sure your voice is heard. Cleanliness is a challenge and you might have to chase the houseflies too.Visit here only if unlimited lunch is on your mind.
Not friendly staff, tasteless food. Ambiance is average. Food quality & quantity is below average. We have n number of option for same budget.
We visited this place on our way to ooty for breakfast. It has delicious food just like home made south Indian authentic food. Idli vada was very soft and dosas were perfectly crispy. They have a huge seating area both inside and outside. The service is quick.
