Vishwamitra is another vegetarian restaurant situated just opposite to bowring hospital near Sri Rama. It has better ambiance than rama and unlike the 70’s-80’s ambiance of the former, it looks a bit newer with 80’s-90’s ambiance ! We used to go here when we had our posting at the bowring hospital and we have tried almost all their tiffin items. Idly, pongal, bisi bele bath, rice bath are all good. Cost is cheap though a bit higher than Rama’s but still cheap when compared to other vegetarian restaurants in the city. srirelishes.blogspot.com
One of my most visited hotels around shivajinagar, the place was good when it opened, the udin vada on a Sunday morning was really good and was consistent, now due to the change in management we got some stale vadas when I went there recently. Price wise it’s economical compared to the other places around that place.
