Mangalore food at it’s best . This place in brigade road gives you the most amazing mangalorean food straight from the coasts of Karnataka. From their neer dosa to kori roti and their brilliant ghee roast and fish kebab , which is a must try .Their beautiful cocktails and mocktails go so well with the cuisine.Comfort food + beautiful ambience + affordable prices .What more do you want? And by beautiful ambience I mean the place has a rooftop seating which is gold. It’s got this amazing view with decked up interiors and it’s all kinds of pretty ❤️The service was good and the staff was super friendly. The prices are super pocket friendly too . So without digging your wallet you can eat your heart out at this cute little place in bridge road.

YUMMY BUT MINIMAL PORTIONS WITH ABSURD PRICING!!!I had mixed feelings after dinning at Cobaja, Brigade Rd.First, their preparations are yummy. Not just yummy, damn good lip smacking yummy. Same time they priced the menu absurdly high. If they think, provinding tasty food demands absurd pricing, I beg to defer. Cobaja is just a small joint on a 2 storey building, with very limited seating, which may get crowded and noisy. And there is nothing special about the ambience and service by staffs are below AVERAGE. Above all, the portion of squid fries, prawns ghee roast etc were very minimal.Highly recommend the management to rethink either about portion size or pricing.

Well, the cuisine is Karnataka cuisine which also includes Mangalorean, so it is not likely I would miss trying this place. Loved the interiors. Amazing. I particularly loved the explanation of the Bangalore slang words. The 3rd floor (or is it 2nd) and the open air terrace both are lovely. With many types of seating options including sit down and a thoughtfully designed space, it looks bigger. The seating is not comfortable for the old folks though as the table seating on the lower floor is like outdoors table and benches and don’t have backrest. The quarter bottles are interesting and each one is worth a try. The food is good but not spectacular. The service is good yet middling. The humble owner/co-founder himself helps in the serving and is extremely friendly and service oriented. There are few gaps though. For one, they get all the ordered items in one go so some dishes would have gotten cold if you were hungry and ordered too many things all at once. After one round, once the place filled up, it was difficult to get their attention to order the next round and the food took a long time coming.Strangely we enjoyed the hubli and gowda specialties much more than the Mangalorean fare. The Hubli Chicken Palav and Gowda Mutton Saru (another service gap – they brought in the hubli chicken palav with the kundapur chicken gashi though we wanted the other combination, the mutton gravy came much later) and Akki Roti (Malnad/Coorgi style) were very good. All the Mangalorean style dishes were average. The squid masala, chicken ghee roast, kundapur chicken gashi were average. I liked the prawn pepper fry. The chicken urval tasted ok but was not the style we were used to. The Fish Koliwada which came recommended was very average. The mocktails were very nice. Saffron Punch which was more mango-saffron tasting and the Litchi Blossom were good. I enjoyed trying the Paan Mojito and the Litchi Curry Martini which came in quarter bottles. But we could not try more as we went back to regular, draught beer to go with the food.Overall ok experience. It’s a lovely place worth a try if you like a variety of cuisines under one roof. Good place to get your out of town or country friends.

Awesome place to hang out wid friends and having chilled beer on the rooftop ,this experience and time is just marvelous.Me n my friends sat on the rooftop area but the first floor is also awesome as it lets u sit down in Rajasthani style and also in corners tables are provided who r uncomfy in sitting down.Nice charismatic lighting done on rooftop and the view in evening is just beyond writing it in words. You can enjoy the making of cocktails as live in front of u.Located in one of the posh places called brigade road which is famous for its fine dine restaurants and branded shops with 5 star hotels as well. Now coming to the food and beverages we had over here :-** Food **• Namma orru style (healthy salads)• Special Murukku• Chicken ghee roast• Prawns pepper fry• Mangalore buns• Kaiman undoh• Chicken uruval• Kaleji Chakan• Shrimp masala• Fish tawa fry (anjal/surmai/seer fish)• Prawns Koliwada• Kundapur chicken gassi• Akki roti• Neer dosaAll the dishes were good and delicious in taste and especially loved the fish tawa fry and kaiman undoh as in fish they had provided my favourite fish ajnal wich we call surmai in marathi ya king fish or seer fish also.Loved the Murukku as well as it was provided with chicken gassi curry and yeah the last dish wich I loved was prawns pepper fry as it was upto the mark and basically we eat it with roti but as we were hungry so just ate like dat nly without any breads.** Beverages **• Co.ba.ja’s special long Island ice tea• Spicy guava martini• Pan mojito cocktail(quarter bottle)• Tequila sunrise (quarter bottle)• Drunk pineapple (quarter bottle)• Mint lemon Mocktail** Dessert **• Chiroti with badam milkI loved the L.i.i.t drink wich was too hard and strong and literally awesome. It had coke, tequila, vodka as the main ingredients, after dat if dey had added anything else den I don’t know as didn’t get the taste of other things except for this 3.Second drink I loved was paan mojito wich was alluring in taste and loved the quarter bottles actually. The dessert was familiar to me as I had eaten it somewhere but can’t recollect but trust me it tasted more good without milk.Do check out the fish which dey have hanged with the above lamp.Service was kind and prompt and very friendly.

This place is definitely going to catch your eyes when it comes to its interior.. Very calm and peaceful setup with light colors. These guys serve fish and chicken thali at a reasonable price with no compromise on taste.Being in Richmond road it’s tough to get good food places here at a reasonable price and hence this will definitely be an attractive option.Amazing fish thalis, amazing chicken thalis and awesome well cooked mutton thali.Just go for this place without thinking twice.U will love the low sitting arrangments.Overall a great experience. Will definitely go here again and would highly recommend this place to everyone.

While exploring bridge road, got my eyes on this place Cobaja. They had this food festival going on which I tried and was super Delicious. From the starters to main course to dessert every thing was full of flavours and worth trying.I love the ghee roast chicken and prawns. Ordered the mutton balls which were absolutely yummm. In main course I loveeed the chicken pulav and chicken Karan the most. Their mutton was so soft and juicy, just melts in your mouth. Amazing and worth trying.I highly recommend the food here and also the service is worth appreciation. If you have never been to this place, definitely make your visit cause I’m sure for all non veg lovers, food here won’t disappoint you at all.

This place in Brigade road serves some authentic Mangolorean and Karnataka cuisines. Beautiful ambience with indoor and roof top dining space makes it more Beautiful, the roof top ambience is just like a little garden..We tried some mocktails, cocktails and shakes. The saffron punch and lychee blossom were unbelievably good, litchi curry martini, drunk pineapple, paan mojitos were something different but equally good and the thick shakes were quite pleasing..When we visited, there was a food festival going out there SAVJI & MALNAD, so we thought to give it a try. Their chicken ghee roast and prawn ghee roast is highly recommended one. They use pure ghee which makes it so perfect. We tried some thick consistency soups like Nuggekai and Appe kai saru, with the goodness of veggies..Other starters to try from the menu are Yelekosu Vada made of dried cabbage and corn, Keema balls with minced mutton inside which was really good, we tried a fish tawa fry where the fish was very soft and spicy, so somewhat liked tgat also..Then we ordered the maincourse and believe me all the curries and chicken, mutton gravies were so good and delicious, that for the first time, I got in love with Mangolorean food. Served with Akki Roti and super soft neer dosa and the delectable Hubli chicken pulao, it was the best maincourse I ever had in a south indian place..Then we tried some desserts like of which I liked the chiroti with badam milk and puranpoli with ghee..So great ambience and service, a must visit to this place and the ongoing food festival was really satisfying to the palate. Will come here again.
